There are plenty of open tournaments out there all year. I've participated in a few of them. You perform extremely well in all of those and you'll get noticed. Also you can go on IRC and ask pro teams for scrims. You do good against them on a regular basis and you'll get noticed also.

You could also join inhouse leagues, play very well there, and make connections.

The best of the best were already invited. Inviting people into a qualifier which is a contest for filtering out elements you couldn't quantify as the best to begin with makes it a reasonable opportunity to leave it as an open event. It's like you guys don't care for the definition of what Wild Cards mean.

Just to reiterate a point that is lost through quoting, I'm fine with the way the qualifiers are being handled this year. Yet if Valve or someone else continues doing this next year...

... I think by that time they should reconsider their method for the last few spots, especially after the game gets out of beta.

Sorry, my post was confusing. I guess what I mean is, Elder Titan is on the TEST client. And I was wondering if the Beta client would be getting him tonight. I'm not on the test client, so I'm waiting for ET + the new store items to hit.

If youre talking about the thing to the left of Tresdin, it walks on two legs, so it isn't Mag.

If it's supposed to be a hero, it isn't one that we've seen, and it doesn't really fit with any of the concept art we've seen either.

I think it's just a random beast like thing for the sake of the splash art and nothing more.
 
On second look, it looks like a slightly non-human figure is between LC and that thing, and that looks like a pack on it's back. Maybe it is Abaddon and his mount or Abyssal Underlord and his mount.

It definitely has four legs and is walking on them Magnus's lore did say there were hunters after his people, so maybe it's an enslaved pack Magnoceros.

Hey cool thread. Just found out I made it into the exclusive DOTA2 Closed Beta event. Is this game any fun?

Iccup actually got 2nd place at a LAN event though. Also CWM's past visa problems... Sucks for EternalEnvy though. Guy should just go finish his damn engineering degree.

It's a LoL clone but you can't customize your experience by buying new heroes. Plus you can't use your spells as much so what's the point. Shit game. New MOBA please!
