Well EG has team aura push (two auras so not full committal, but still). So if Liquid slows that down enough, they probably have it.

No? Drow peaks at three specific points in the game: 6-11-16. Past that her crappy AGI growth will start to catch up with her, along with her complete lack of any escape.
Of course in this particular match it's not like she's up against a harder 1v1 Carry.

Apparently Bamboe really wanted Taco Bell at TI2 but didn't end up having time to get any, his biggest regret of the event.

lol - Liquid didn't have the lineup to deal with it, especially as an unexpected last pick. TA top and shitty jungling by Wisp + KotL also questionable.

I'd say they're an easy pick for 1st in the qualifiers, except Demon has the supernatural ability to lose them the most won games.

meh. Drow and TA free farmed their respective safe lanes. Wisp fail ganks, 2 aegis pickups on Drow, Batrider MVP. EZ game for a Drow. Silence is pretty fucking good, even if a bit underutilized in that match.
EG was p bad last few months, until Bambo started to play with them and suddenly they won a lot.. now even beating high tier teams like Navi/Liquid on regular basis.

That's the thing, the throw factor. They're not necessarily a bad team, but they lose an unnatural amount of otherwise "won" games (usually due to Demon). And a lot of times it's when they're up a game or it's tied. EG at their best yeah, probably favorite to take first in the qualifiers, but you never know when they'll have a bad day or a slump, which could easily cause them to lose to the likes of QPAD, Mouz, or Empire (new roster - old one woulda crushed), if not any of the other teams in the qualifier. They also lost to RoX.KIS somewhat recently?

I don't know who that would be. Personally, I expected them to get an invite. Well, I did until I realized there was a limit to how many Western and Eastern invites there would be. I think most expect them to win the qualifier.
Also, I bet they wish they had banned batrider of Sky now, don't they. Which brings me back to the question I asked yesterday: if Sky becomes first-round ban material, who is going to see more run that is usually banned? Will we really see more bat? Wisp? Kotl? Because one of them is going to get through the first round of bans if teams are going to ban out Sky.

Actually it was EG that banned Sky every game. But if anything I think you see KotL and Nyx getting through more than Bat and Wisp. Wisp maybe if they intend to have momentum before she can become effective (hit 6). With no one to kill on top lane and not taking any of the lane XP, the Wisp leveled slow and EG had nothing to fear by simply dodging.
If Sky is allowed in, he probably will get picked pretty frequently. And while Slark is good against Bat, I don't think most teams have enough practice on him to risk it. Especially with Bat jungling often now.

Well, before bamboe started playing for them there was a lot of people thinking they were practically dead, at least from what I saw.
Now when they're up on this level, I agree with you, a lot of people think that they're gonna win (including me), and regardless of a lack of activity they were probably next in line from the West teams to get an invite if there was an extra slot.
edit: oh shit, iccup - KP probably coming up (kp is up 1-0 against some tier 4 team)

Yes. Drow stomp. Liquid was not prepared to handle it at all as she got picked last. Lineup/lanes didn't apply any pressure on her.
