Am I doing something wrong, or does Spectre take an extremely long time to come "online" as a carry? I just played her, and we won, but I spend the first half of the game just farming and farming and farming, occasionally jumping into fights with my ult. I even had a Midas, and this was how I ended up after 45 minutes.

Spectre does take a long time to start carrying; her big strength is that she's able to continuously farm while still contributing to team fights when needed. If you want to contribute more to the midgame, you can try skipping Midas, maxing Desolate first, and going for a build like Drums -> Yasha -> Vit Booster -> Manta -> Diffusal -> Heart. My biggest annoyance with that kind of build is the Tranquil Boots bug with illusions. Tranquils which worked properly would be a big help in making a cost-effective, midgame-oriented build like that work.

A more endgame-oriented build is probably better under most circumstances, though.

Treads work well with illusions though. The AGI scales with illusions (+Damage from Phase does not) and the HP in str mode does too.

I out GPM'd the shit out of everyone, went Midas, Treads, Diffusal, Manta, Heart, and stated Crit but only got Crystalys by the time the game ended. I know people used to advocate Radiance on Spectre, but after that whole thing about hearing that Radiance is not a very good item, I didn't get one.

Tranq, OoV, Radiance, Refresher, Disassemble tranqs as soon as possible

I think this is pretty relevant to this game (and this genre for that matter):

How do you calm yourself down after a particularly bad game?

Break something.

Yell a lot.

Make a complete asshole of yourself.

That's what I do anyway. You might want to try something else.

I think they might get particle effects with the more games you view ala TPL/Starladder couriers?

Regardless, you can watch replays to level that up. Live games are for item drops.

Will qualifiers have item drops? Can't seem to find that anywhere.
