I'm too used to teaming up with 3-4 friends that solo queueing or teaming up with 1 other person is horrendous.
A game full of people who can't speak english, pick a load of carries, no supports, no support items, no courier and grouping up. So infuriating.
lgd.int stealing best.kz strats.
12 game losing streak..
goddammit dota
What say you GAF? Was my suggestion ok?
Your suggestion was fine, but I can understand the NP's reaction.
I don't know how early he called that he was jungling and if there we're other heroes to be picked for solo offlaning. IMO if someone picks up an NP for jungling it would be best to have a capable offlaner (which Doom isn't in my opinion) like DS, LD, BH, WR or along those lines. (This is coming from an NP player btw ;-)
Sorry if it's not kosher to ask about trades in here, I didn't see a dedicated thread for it (like the TF2 one), but does anyone have a Brooch of Death's Bride they'd part with? I can give a key in return.
But I thought LoL had more skillshot heroes.

It doesnt get bumped alot but when it does usually people get what they looking for if its reasonable.
It costs you damage and puts you backThe thing is they are more skillshot spammy. You are shooting off stuff that requires skillshots more often but at no cost really with no conseuqnece (mana, cooldown time) unless you miss an ult or something (rare given how instantaneous most of them are).
For some reason I've had textures on medium and the renderquality bar not maxed all this time.
I thought dota2 looked nice (like a painting almost, but kind of soft and the textures weren't good on the chars)
...
Saw a screenshot in the screenshot thread that looked way crisper and way nicer than what i've been playing.
The game has frigging incredible graphics, 500 hours in I figure that out.
did a couple of more matches in LoL but it just doesn't feel as fun. The game speed is another huge factor. it all just seems so slow. oh well the ac client of Dota should be here soon.

thats cool - im not trying to convince you to play lol at all
you've already invested a lot more into dota and your experiences reflect that
im happy youve found your place in moba world
Just now watching the GAF games- what's the deal with all this ping complaining? I thought it was a joke at first. My ping is always 200 - 300 and I thought that was the norm/ok.

People make excuses. 200-300 is pretty high though. 100-200 normal.
I play from SEA and I get like 350-400. What I do to play with my friends v_v

It depends on what you're used to, if you have sub-100 ping all the time to Europe like me, it's hard to get used to US East with 220 ping (which shouldn't really be the case, I used to have ~120 ping to US East which was fine). If you play on 100+ ping all the time, it'll be weird playing on anything different as well for a while. The old N9/aL team from Australia played at some LANs in Europe and they had to get used to the low ping as well. (there were no Australian servers back then)
Is team scumbag going to play more giantbomb teams?
I play with 200-250 ms on USE and it's ok.

Everything is relative. You're just making half stated representations forgetting that your opponent has the same rules. League is just designed with that paradigm, but it doesn't mean it doesn't cost you anything because your opponent has the same functionality. So if you miss and he hits, that's the consequence. Perhaps it didn't have huge mana or cooldown consequences, but in respect to the design paradigm, you're now behind because your opponent can do the exact same thing back to you with the same consequences.
If your argument is that skillshots are more rewarding and punishing in doto, then it's certainly true for some of them (purge hook), but there are still spammy or less significant skillshots (dk flame), relative to Dota.
Next week. Dunno the exact date yet, I'll let you know.
