Also, I think I had my first match of 'Support without feeding'. 4 kills, 5 deaths, 33 assists as KOTL. Also loved all my items at the end.

Did you bait out the bkbs?? I mean I think I would've been better to just wait till they turn their bkbs and pop the song fight 3v5 that way you deal with Rubick and necro later.

Man that's weird. Enchant can have some insane mid and late-game damage IMO, between her and Viper heroes should have been melting.

Honestly we had a great mid game but it fell apart as soon as Rubick wised up and kept perfectly stealing Golem ult.
 
Sometimes this game makes me question the sanity of the people playing:

Centaur is with me on the lane, proceeds to buy no starting items to go for ring of health first. Competes with me, carry, for every lasthit resulting in both of us getting nothing.
We lane against a Dark Seer but this guy seems to have no idea what Ion Shell does. Dark seer pops 2 of them, but hell Centaur really needs the last hits and dies. First Blood! Great start.

He then continues to do stuff like going 1vs3 and tries to kill a puck!? Dies of course. Doesn't save me or himself, instead uses his double edge to kill himself basically. Goes vanguard after pipe 30 minutes in.

Really never have I seen a person being this bad with Cent.

Hope you never end up in a game with me where i have to play Centaur.
That said, i believe i wouldn't do quite as badly as that guy, i'd just be somewhat ineffective.

I really don't care much when people are just unsure what to do and mistime their stun or ultimate. But when you do stuff that is so insane that you are basically on the verge of feeding, that's something other.

Also laning against darkseer, we all told him to swap the place with veno and go to another lane. Nope.
Really, why play a team game like Dota when you don't want to work with anyone? He should just go play 1v1 mid all day.

I understand.
We see such people when playing with my friend... odd item builds (like nonsensical ones), Tiny who throws my friend and me (both playing supports) to middle of enemies, people who want to kill Roshan when it ain't a proper time and then go alone there to die, giving the kill to the enemy team...

Join my first fight with Treads/Deso/MoM/BF and almost rampage

Feels good man, especially since i havent played Void in months
 
Am I just now noticing some new spell effects persisting on the attacked hero? I've seen Bristleback's quills sticking into enemy heros and yesterday I saw QoPs dagger stuck in someone's back as they ran away. Are these new, and are there any more?
 
I call out some people when they do shit on purpose. Never been muted.


MAYBE because I don't call them retards and use foul language (except for the some fucks here and there).

Not new. Maybe you just aren't looking very hard. DotA is a damn fine looking game. All the little details make it excellent
 
So I just played the tutorial of DOTA2.

Seems like a pretty simple/easy game to play. Reminds me of BFME2 and Rise of the Witch King.

Where do I go from here?

Practice with bots with various heroes until you find a one you like. Then got into the co-op versus bots and get more experience using them. People are generally nice about being a newcomer, and will give tips if you're having trouble.

Play the tutorial

Play 5-10 co-op bot games

Then start playing real games. Too much bots gives you bad habits

You can though. Just don't be derogatory about it. When I solo queue, I call out people on their mistakes all the time and I've never been muted. I just make it a point not to call them an idiot or lead with "OMG...you stupid noob.." There's a huge difference between destructive and constructive criticism.

While I have had a couple unpleasant experiences playing with fellow GAF members, that was definitely the exception. Most Gaffers have been fun to play with.

To stop scrubs from creating their own GAF guild?

What do you have to do for an invite?
