So, against my better judgement, I decided to try some solo que. I qued for AR, RD, SD, and CD....

I ended up with Outworld Destroyer in my Single Draft pool. My first time playing that hero ever, and like, the 3rd time ever going mid in a real game. I ended up 26/4, scoring my first ever rampage in the final push. I killed all 5 enemy heroes, and then killed two that bought back. Although I barely knew what I was doing, it was fucking awesome!

Turns out a farmed OD does a lot more damage then my typical omni knight or phase boots/force staff windrunner. #neverpickingsupportagain

I mean I was gonna buy it before but now I can buy it and see how EE acts in public.

Everyone mentions he's pretty chill in person, from what I have read. How people behave on stream isn't necessarily how they are in person, SingSing is a total clown in his stream but is a (reported) super tryhard in competitve games.

That feeling when you go in unprepared and come out looking like a hero :)

I played OD for the second time (I think the first was one of my first matchmaking games) and I went 19-0, similar to you. On the other hand, I had my first game as Silencer not long after that and fed Skywrath four kills mid in less than ten minutes, so not all first hero experiences are positive.

Why the fuck does Abbadon's shield purge debuffs? Makes laning against him as Ancient Apparition basically nothing but food

Because that's what he do.

Head up, Legion Commands "Press The Attack" does the same thing. She puts it on a person, they get more attack speed, a bit of extra health regen, and purged of debuffs!

Certainly one of the better matches of my career (Doom). Had great support (Rubick) in the laning phase and absolutely dominated the farm. I was genuinely unstoppable the entire game including one 3v1 wipeout of QOP, Invoker, and Shaman that I need to watch again. Only reason I died at all was that I bought a Rapier when all towers/rax were down and got 5-man focused down seconds before the game ended.

And all that against a clan 5-stack that intimidated me when the game loaded.

Love this game sometimes.

And unreleased set for Kunkka that turns him into a boat

Valve accidentally added the shoulders and bracers of the set to the drop system, but that doesn't stop people thinking the hat is in the system.

I don't think a lot of people like this hat, thats what it seems like, but i think it's baddass. I want one!

Solo queuing is the worst. Pick puck in single draft, guy picks Shadowfiend, takes mid, forces me to offlane and loses mid horribly. I somehow win offlane, everyone else loses their lanes and then the worst stomping ever ensues.

Next game, I pick Nyx, we need a carry, guy last picks Pudge, asks for mid. We then lose because they have a drow, alch and weaver and we have 0 carries.

Honestly, it's either all carries or none when I soloqueue, it's the fucking worst.

captain's draft has been really fun so far, even though it feels like the skill level varies wildly. but that might just be because i was queueing late-night dota on US servers on a school night.

STILL I GOT TO PLAY MEEPO

Whoa whoa whoa, Spacecow picked up by LGD!

Edit: Goddamn, 18 min GG. Gotta see more from Xiaotuji. Looks very promising.

What's the reasoning behind armlet on clock? Just more damage/tank when you get them trapped in a cogs?

When you find yourself asking the question: "What should i build into next?"
The answer is always armlet. Unless you already have at least 3 armlets.

LGD just rolled TongFu. The moocow was all like "mooooooooooooBoom!" and not long after it was GG.

Holy shit I finally got Twitch TV to be watchable (in resolutions higher than 360p). That trick someone posted on Reddit has the right idea (blocking IPs that are routed to Twitch, which ISPs commonly throttle bandwith on), but being in Japan, the IPs I get are different.

Pretty simple fix: go to Resource Monitor, find the Flashplayer.exe file, and block the IP address that it's connecting to. I was getting 40 kb/s bandwith through Flashplayer pre-IP block, post-block 350+ depending on the stream.

Yussssssssss

Do I need to be connected to the Dota 2 network to use local play?

Yes. In order for the Dota 2 servers to keep track of your match, allow you to make use of the existing private lobby system and integrate future Dota TV support you are required to be connected to the Dota 2 network in order to make use of the local play feature. As mentioned above this feature has been introduced as a feature to be used on a live network such as one in a cybercafé.

volvo pls

For all the SB is OP talk, the last few I've seen were absolutely terrible and contributed next to nothing to their teams. Maybe it's a side-effect of the "omg SB is broken in pubs" meta - every jackass without a clue picks him. Huskar on the other hand... :/

Just tried out the Medusa ancient farming trick in a bot game to see how it goes. Man this is pretty good. If you have good lanes and need a jungler, but do this trick instead.. good stuff. One of the hardest carries in the game getting free farm.

Guess it also depends on how well your lanes are going of course but still.
