Dat invoker! Dat Doom! When did doom get so popular among pro teams? I used to see him pick a little bit but now its DOOM very single game.

Lysander isn't a good solo caster(very few are) but he has good game knowledge and is pretty entertaining as well.
From what I've seen(not much) Doom has always been a tier 2 pick, so he has always been somewhat popular.

Yeah, I'll be looking out for him in the future. He's pretty good with a competent partner co-casting. Wonder what his MMR is, as his game knowledge is indeed very good.

Funny how WK was a top tier pick at the qualifiers and has now disappeared completely. I wonder why, he's still a good hero even with recent changes.
Its becasue Invoker is being picked more, who basically hard counters Wraith King.
Wasn't Invoker really popular while support WK was at its peak?

My rares are on Navi, so they're doomed now.
yeah outfarming a lycan the whole game when he mostly had a tower lead was pretty crazy, and he survived at least a few times when he should have died
funnik carried though, that doom turned it almost every time. nar'vi supports should have rushed linkens
Nah, they'll probably ban or pick him rather than let EG get him.

There may be other suggestions, I just like sniper for first timers because he has only two skills, is ranged (harder to die) and comes with a stun built in.
Heal him up and have him build a Maelstorm for an ez gaem

My Doom goes through everything and has unlimited duration, they're done for.
No not Sniper at all what. Fragile, needs items, relies on positioning, no escape, no, no.

Viper and Lich definitely. Sniper and Sven require quite a bit of farm to not suck.
i honestly dont think you learn anything playing with sniper. his long range is nice, but hes so easy to just kill, rape and murder up close. i dont think you learn anything by playing drow or viper either.

na'vi USA vs Na'Vi EU. over 70 min game with back and forth wipes, so much fun to watch and probably one of the best dendi invokers weve seen in a while.

Lich is nice for beginners, at least I like him a lot. Constant mana, item independent, spammable spells, no specific combos to learn, doesn't need to be close to fights, useful even if only eating creeps and keeping up frost armor. That said, he is fragile and has no direct escape.

Fuck it then. Give him Shadow Demon and flame him every time he disrupts the wrong guy. That's how you learn Dota, with tears.
