I'm pretty sure they're pissed off either way that it has to come to this?

I'm sure the victors will be quite consolable.

I feel sorry for Alliance not being able to win that first game live. I missed most of it but for the other team to have 1 ranged rax left but double the kills and the other to still have their tier 3s up is one hell of a feat.

throwing illusions at a base for 100 minutes, what a feat

Honestly, I don't believe Alliance had a realistic path to win that game anymore. Loda had given up on trying to get the melee rax because they were ultimately just feeding Ember and Razor gold for ridiculous items.

Clock was going to be useless ultimately. Supports were buying random shit. They were inevitably going to be outcarried, IMO.

But I'm not sure if we would have ever gotten a straight-up conflict either. At least, not one where nobody had buybacks.

Oh it turned into one of THOSE games. Shame. Still, would've been interesting to see nonetheless!

If these last few games are any sign, tomorrows bo5 will probably take 3 days to finish. Come to think, I thought WPC BO7s were bad.

Yea. Alliance was down to sending in masses of illusions and necro minions...had no way to push past Razor and Ember...both of whom had over 1,000CS before the game broke. MKB's, daedalus', Divine Rapiers...

Oh, and C9's LC had almost 300 duel damage on top of being 6-slotted.

That method wasn't going to win Alliance the game. But it could have gone forever if Alliance refused to actually fight them. idk.

Edit: I love my baby Drow, but Spectre is a fucking problem in this patch. I like Alliance to win.

C9's lineup has a clear expiration date.

I'd say if C9 hasn't won by 40 minutes (or at least have a rax advantage in a couple of lanes), they're going to lose. Not that Mirana and WR can't semi-carry...but idk.

Is game 1 of alliance vs c9 worth watching when the vods are up? I don't mind long games ( ie. team tinker's 80+ minute one the other day) if they are interesting. Starcraft had some ridiculously long TvT games that were crazy fun with drops and nukes and tank wars everywhere. There was also the dreaded broodlord infestor vs broodlord infestor days of zvz where sweet tits all happened for two hours and you watched free units kill free units.

Can a tournament actually ban a hero for reasons other than being broken? Like I understand no Venge back when her aura thing got reworked and crashed games if she died to a non hero but can tournaments really say "no naga" just because she makes games last forever?

I still miss EGM support naga , all the naga hate these days makes me sad.

Eh, I dunno. The first half where Alliance is playing well is interesting if you like watching good Naga split push (which I do), but it eventually devolves into something akin to mass Broodlord into infinite sieged tanks. Free unit suiciding in to get 2 damage on a t4 with a few shadowblade LC pickoffs peppered in.

It's a shame the game didn't get to end properly, because it probably would've been amazing. Mass Dagon vs colossal end-game Ember Spirit. Would've gone from boring to crazy and then over in liek 20 seconds.
