So your friend doesn't take Focus Fire, until Maelstorm?

Seems like he usually takes it at level 9.

Anyway, regardless of what build you're going, unless you can secure a kill on the spot, you should not get Focus Fire until around 9-10, and even then you might want to skip it until 14,15,16 were you not running a dps Windrunner.

Depending on my position I like to have 2-3 in shackle, 3-4 in power shot, and 1 in windrun before I even touch Focus Fire.

It almost feels like a waste of a point at 6 because you really don't do enough damage and you're more useful moving around. I've had games where I had Orchid, Aghs, and MKB and felt useless compared to other heroes with this amount of farm.

Unless you are doing quick Rosh kills, then Focus Fire is actually quite good. Same can be said about objectives.

But then I have had games where I am farming pretty efficiently and do enough damage at 6 to justify the skill point.

Just assess your role and farm and decide if its worth it.

Yeah if you can take a tower that is in deny range or you are roshing you need it, but otherwise it's kinda dumb without a modifier/item.

I wish I could change my gaf name cuz this one is bad

I thought it up years ago when I didn't think I'd ever post here

everyone should have the same gaf name and steam name, this should be law

Only if you're requiring people to use their real names. I have a different name on pretty much every service I use but I'm also pretty much tired of the concept of usernames.

Ok guys need some help here. I've been writing an article for my program about TI4 (its nothing big really) and my teacher pointed out that I should include a description of what is Dota 2. I'm having trouble coming up with a simple explanation. Help?

An Online Multiplayer 5v5 game where the goal of the game is to destroy the other teams base.

This is essentially what I got so far:
Dota 2 is an ARTS (Action Real Time Strategy game) developed by Valve software. Teams of five compete to destroy the enemy’s Ancient. Each player selects a character (or hero) from a pool of more than a hundred (new ones are added every few months

Also: The guy who made Tidehunter's Tactics released a new short:

Dota 2 is a game where two teams of 5 fight each other with the goal of destroying each others base of operation. The teams each draft 5 unique characters from a pool of over 100, and work to towards various objectives around the playing field, such as the destroying the enemy units and their artillery towers, and strengthening their own units, to make the main objective easier.

A 5 vs 5 competitive game where players control single playing pieces called heroes. The teams compete over resources and objectives in order to build up their heroes' capabilities. Both sides are trying to gain enough leverage to breach the other side's base and destroy their "throne". Whoever does it first is the winner.

Hmm thanks, very nice descriptions.

Do you think Quesadildo would fly with the mods

Well avatars from porn movies are acceptable so why not?

A friend in my stack plays a pretty mean WR:

http://www.dotabuff.com/players/283...nger&lobby_type=&game_mode=&region=&duration=

He goes mid and rushes a Maelstrom, then Blink, then Agh. Focus Fire Maelstrom is pretty painful at 15 minutes.

Thanks for this. Does he always go mid? I've been stuck playing support or offlane if I'm lucky.
I asked a while back and got this
I was a bit skeptical at first but the soul ring + tranquils build is actually pretty legit. If you wanna go more hard support, instead of force>maelstrom go mek>force. Once you have ring and boots down, don't forget to buy/be given wards. You're mobile enough + windrun that you can usually place them down no problem and save time for others.

That's the build I stumbled upon as well when I play support and the game isn't going well.

There are a few items that have come out of China recently and have pretty low distributions, but I'm not sure if they will get a larger release. There is the Abyssal Watcher lantern for warlock, and the Moon Whirl for silencer.
