I'm just reminding you that its a problem completely within one's control.
The thing is that the first four points are moot once the picking phase is over and the fifth one takes a while to get the equilibrium back in a comfortable spot, especially when you can't stop the clueless person from doing single pulls anymore
You usually want to pull when the lane equilibrium is close to the enemy tower, or if your lane is pushing pretty hard (like a wave didn't completely die and you now have 1 wave + a ranged creep and melee creep from the previous wave). By pulling, you are increasing the net xp of those in the lane (the carry and support), and the net gold. However, since the small camp and medium camp were swapped several patches ago, it is required that the small camp is stacked in order to completely kill the pulled wave (you can also pull the creep wave through the small camp on radiant by aggro-ing the medium camp nearby and pulling them down or on dire by pulling the large camp upwards), for if the creep wave is not completely killed, the wave will add to the next and disrupt equilibrium again.

If the lane is going to push naturally (laning against an axe, necro with aura skilled or a spamming lina/cm), you should focus on harassing because pulling isn't necessary.

If the wave is pushing into their tower, its time to do a pull and get the equilibrium back in your favor. If you are there at :13 or :43 and you havent stacked, do the pull through and use the wave to kill the medium camp for extra xp. If you aren't confident in the pull through, do the stack and pull.

The only time you should do a single pull into the small camp is if you are about to push and want a double wave of creeps.

Yup that's pretty much it. Ideally you want to keep the creep equilibrium, i.e. where the two waves meet to fight, just outside of your t1 range. The reason being that the further you are standing towards the river a) the more open you become to enemy ganks and b) the enemy offlaner can safely last hit next to their tower and grab xp. On a standard safe lane your goal is to let your carry farm in peace and minimize the enemy offlaner's resources, so aside from straight up feeding single pulling is pretty much the worst thing you can do as a support during the early laning phase (unless you're preparing for a push).

Not entirely sure how I feel about having emotes with personalities faces directly in them... I just feel like the emotes should be strictly about the heroes even though these two previews of Godz and Merlini are pretty funny to see. I guess it just goes one step too far by adding in people's faces which is very different than having player supported sets or autographs in game. Don't know how else to express it really.

It's not like dota has never acknowledged the scene in game before. In dota 1 the heroes sometimes had alternate names based off players who were famous for that hero.

I think it's fine but if this is the path they're going down I hope prominent casters in other regions get their emoticons too. It'd be a shame of they missed out on it just because Valve is more attentive to the western scene than others.

Fuuuuuuuuu I'll be on vacation when Chinese New Year hits :(

And can I say I love how DAC is structured? I'd love to see TI5 follow it.

I just use the TI3 crab riding courier because it has ambient effects and all it cost me besides the compendium is a few hours of trading player cards
Love the crab, but I have couriers on permanent rotation.

You guys remember when every pub had greevils?

They need to finally let you select which items to shuffle especially since every damn set comes with a loading screen now, really I just want to rotate between Kunkka's

My friend keeps using that ugly mofo naked greevil despite constantly getting flamed for it

Brackets are set. I did a coinflip and the bottom bracket got the advantage to the finals since we only have 12.

PM your opponent via Neogaf or Steam and exchange Steam ID's and friend each other. Set a time for a BO1 matchup. If you want to do BO3 that is up to you discuss what you want. Matches are only about 10 minutes so try to find time in the next 3 days. If you PM'd your opponent and didn't show or respond you win by default. PM me if this happens.

If your schedules are completely incompatible let me know, I'll see if I can switch some opponents around.

Step-by-step Instructions on how to set up matches and rules/prizes are here

Good Luck!

You should play Mirana, Pudge, windrunner. Those are all fun. Also Mirana lets you pull of sick arrow snipes that become the highlight of the final #1v1gafmemories.

Also I have an idea for a custom game forming in my mind but I despise programming from when I tried to learn it so actually trying to make it will be impossible.
