It's a "make your own goals" kind of game.

You start with an all purpose ship with which you can do several things to earn credits: trade, bounty hunt, smuggling, piracy, exploration, etc. From there on you branch out to specialty ships of your own choice depending on how you like to play the game.

That's an insanely boiled down description of things though. All of the above takes place in a MASSIVE system constantly manipulated by the player base in relation to its economics, politics, storyline, and so on.

Admittedly the game is aimed at a certain flavor of player. Getting started is involved, with the amount of controls, mechanics, and technical tidbits you need to learn. You should definitely to have a thing for space in general as well.

i would have bought elite dangerous if it was on steam

not because of some must be on steam mantra or anything, but just cause id keep seeing it on the store page and just give in

gotta give my joystick a work out

but its a good thing i dont have one more excuse to splurge on a hotas

Isinona is amazing. I bought the game after I saw the Hunted video.

Silencer is so god damn good in pubs, you can start out as a support if you need to and then transition into a semi carry with one or two mid game items.
 
I like how it looks but yeah that's just huge

the great thing with him is that useful support stuff like force staff and aghs adds a good amount of damage to his glaives.
 
It really looks nice but I don't ship Mirana/DK so nay on this.
 
Well, it's really because SIlencer has no immediate CC/slow so you can charge him allllllllllllll day and there's shit he can do about it.

It's a learning experience you can only improve when you play someone better. n

The tournament is 55% chance you win a prize. So it's about participation as much as competition.
