DOTA 2 v7.00: New Journey (Test Client Dec 11, Main Client Dec 12)

A slot just for boots. A "pet" system. Rune system like LoL. Hero fusions where 2 players control the fusion of 2 heroes. Twitch chat integration, the more memes you get the better your RNG blessings. New level cap. You can now try and romance Roshan. Aside from destroying the enemy ancient there are now 3 new endings. You choose a faction at the beginning of each month, if your faction is at the lowest of the rankings your account resets your MMR.

All gold farmed now goes into a team pool. The coach (or anyone in pub) plays as a 6th player and can spend team gold to alter terrain in real-time, as well as construct new towers and rune spawns, and other new buildings that will be introduced.

oh no, top of the page shitpost, better post something real

I will be moving back to civilization next week after living in the Arctic for almost a decade (except 2012, when I played 1200 hours of Dota in 9 months) and only getting to really play for about 2 weeks every 6 months when I went to visit family since then, so this couldn't come at a better time for me.

Boot slot is coming, bet on it. We already have consumable items (7slot), this would be a logical step in that direction.

* Zeus ult can be summoned whether Zeus is in the game or not by touching Zeus diety statue in base. 5 minute cooldown.

* Lycanthorpe can phase through minions while in ult form and is immune to cc

* Powershot is now global

let's be honest it's probably just going to be cleaning up some of the counter-intuitive rules that don't serve any purpose but have been in Dota since forever

kinda like when they changed damage types, it's gonna seem dramatic but it's gonna be slightly meaningless, and ultimately super forgotten, in the long run

Certainly expecting that in addition to Sun Wukong and balance changes. New items and map changes seem like a reasonable high-probability guess.

i'm not even surprised if there will be more than 1 new hero since so many are saying how big this patch is going to be

ehh i don't believe icefrog's retiring, i mean valve did hire him to be in charge of dota2

He accomplished everything he hoped for and more going to Valve. If he wanted to retire while on top, it'd be difficult to argue with the timing.

New number new developer, that's pretty standard right? Why would Dota try to buck that trend? Maybe Icefrog isn't leaving yet but bringing on some other talent to succeed him like how Icefrog was working with what's his name back in the Dota 5.xx series

Let me guess:
Town Portal Scroll
-Removed from the game

Teleportation
-A new default skill for all heroes (set to "B" by default)
Teleports you to a target friendly building. Double-click to teleport to your team's base fountain.
Cooldown: 180

Teleportation Refresher
-New consumable item
Costs: 50 gold
Use: Sets the cooldown of "Teleportation" to 0.
Cooldown: 70
Can be bought with a full inventory if at a shop and will instantly be consumed.

If not expect the cost of the TP scroll to be lowered to 25 gold or something :D

hope it doesnt ruin the game. will be interesting to see how players like it, or if not, how bad they bitch until it's reverted
