Game looks excellent. Seems Dragon's Dogma inspired which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The level of excitement for this to fail is ridiculous. I hope it's good, we're about to get our first clue as to whether it is or not... If it's not, I'll move on to hoping Indy is good.

from what i gather people are upset about woke.

the fact you guys cant just get passed some of this stuff is crazy to me. People cheering for a game to fail not because of the price, not because the gameplay sucks not because of any actual reason other than "woke"
Do I really need another lecture about micro aggressions in a product I might be paying $70 for? No, I don't.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

I mean if a game has shit writting and tries to normalize stuff like chopping off your breasts or dick then yeah, I'm glad if it fails.

Dorkimoe, most of us on here are grown men that lead successful lives. We don't need any lectures on our ethics and what we should or shouldn't overlook.

It’s more than woke.

It’s about a company preaching politics and also changing a past product into something much different than it was. Old DA games were different and got good scores. So why the rock the boat?

Gaming and movies are the minds of products that come out every once in a while. So if a company changes it up, people will have to wait 5 years to see if it goes back to an old way.

Other industries are different because they usually have tons of products so Mars isn’t going to mess up Mars or Snickers bars. If they want to do something different they’ll add another chocolate bar and test that out separately.

Also we play games to escape the real world for a while. We don't want real world politics, issues, etc. in everything we do or everywhere we go.

So you're complaining about the person who pretended to be non-binary in order to get the code, rather than direct your angst towards the mega-corp who deems it appropriate to hand out review codes based on people's pronouns because...?
I'm not complaining about it, I don't give a shit - I just want an honest opinion on the game, not tainted by people's weird politics.

9 from IGN

Wait a second, IGN actually asked someone called Leana Hafer, a non binary staffer to review...

"as a non-binary person myself, Veilguard includes some of the most authentic representation of coming to terms with gender stuff"

Something tells me the 9/10 is more than a little suspect.
