It is barely rising anymore and will plateau soon, this might not even reach 80k today, by this time Space Marine 2 had over 200k players.

Imagine being a clown and saying this is doing well, for a game that was in dev for 5 years and had a total reboot before that. Imagine being this delusional or desperate to prove the chuds wrong.
Rounding up to the thousand, it's currently at it's peak yesterday right now. Once people get off work and school, it should get triple the concurrent player count of it's peak from yesterday. Because Halloween isn't here to distract people nor is another second Monster Hunter Wild beta release happening. So with both of these distractions gone, I am confident to say the peak ccp will be triple of yesterday's peak.

But then they'll be able to use "no DRM" as an excuse. It was all part of the plan

Game was already available everywhere yesterday

Is that really that big of a number? For a game that allegedly has a budget of $250 million. That's a budget on par with Cyberpunk. Now compare that to Cyberpunk's online. This game is still alive, and Dragon Age will die in a few weeks.

No chance it has a $250 million budget. Half of that at best. For comparison Andromeda had a budget of $70 million with a similar sized team.

Definitely not anywhere to being big as a big budget western fantasy game that's suppose to attract lots of people. And from a known franchise and is consider to be a big comeback for Dragon Age. It does not need Cyberpunk, Wukong, BG3's numbers of course. But would still need like 300k ccp to be view as good. I believe it could reach that by Sunday since the Halloween Honeymoon phase will be totally gone by then. Without any distractions from Halloween, costume parities, trick or treaters and other things tonight, the numbers should hit close to 200k ccp tonight and 300 to 350k ccp by Sunday a.k.a the highest point.

Mate I have nothing against you but why do you keep saying it can hit 200k tonight, when the peak is in a bit over 2h and from utc 17:00 to utc: 18:00 it gained less than 2k players you can see on steamdb. This wont even reach 80k what do you mean 200k lol. The world is a globe, as it gets later/peak gaming hours in California, Europe also goes to sleep and it loses players.

That’s not evidence.
Didn't they restart the production a few times?
Yes, the concept was rebooted several times. But the game never even go to full production and work on everything was sporadic as BioWare had Andromeda and Anthem release during that time. Andromeda had issues that took development away and the problems with Anthem are well known. They also had a team work on the Mass Effect Trilogy remaster. Development of this only started in 2018, but full production only kicked off in 2021. All of this is public knowledge or what has been leaked by Jason Schreier.

From 17:00 to 18:00 UTC it gained only 1.300 players and the peak is in a bit over 2h. This wont even reach 80k today.

Give me a source that says otherwise.
No. I haven't made any claims about how big the budget is. But a random Steam forum post isn't evidence of anything. It's like linking a random 4chan post.

I've been shitting on Veilguard without mercy btw, I'm not defending it.

As prophesied, it will continue to grow in power every second. And without the forces of Halloween to fight against it, Veilguard will grow rapidly to the point of 200k or more TONIGHT!
Yeah but don’t forget it’s Dia de Los Muertos. Lots of people will be celebrating today and tomorrow and then probably hung over all day Sunday. Then it’s Monday so everyone is back to work again. We might not be seeing this 300K peak until NEXT Sunday. But rest assured, it’s coming.

Damn it! Veilguard seems to have the unfortunate luck of having spooky typed holidays messing with it!

Next Sunday is Blue Beards wedding anniversary so will have to be 2 weeks on Sunday to hit the 300k definitely.

Yeah and then of course we have the election. People will be out voting early, then everyone will be too stressed out waiting for the results in order to properly relax and play an RPG.

Then after that I know lots of us are going to start our early Christmas shopping which can consume so much time and energy.

Altogether we could be looking at weeks or even months before we know the true peak. Never lose hope.

The no DLC approach is most certainly an interesting one.

You can interpret this either way, either Bioware is truly honest and wanted to deliver a full product, or they have already moved on.

Even if you delivered the full product, you can still let that DLC or expansion door open for future sales. It's a curious decision.

And also Diwali is going on now so folks are watching Bollywood movies and celebrating Festival of Lights. Nobody got time for Veilguard.

And then you got Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanuka, New Years, and Chinese New Year. We will see true numbers around February-March!

This is why games don’t sell during the Holidays! Halloween to Chinese New Year is a land mine! 😉

Man it really seems like it some people here taking the outcome of this game personally.

On that note, it looks like the steam reviews have changed to mostly positive now. How will society ever recover!?

It is crazy how the purple forum is trying to spin this into a win. They say it will be a success cause it will pass tomorrow the Kingdom Come ccu (96K) , an AA game from an independent czech studio....versus a francize like Dragon Age from a publisher like EA. It is PATHETIC, it reeks of desperation.
I'm actually kind of shocked KCD got that much in the first place.
