People being disappointed on how a new game looks and runs on their expensive devices is cringe-inducing? The dev perspective means nothing when the consumer clearly sees problems with the product. No level of "you just don't understand" will make me okay with how this game graphically looks and runs.

Games don`t exist in a vacuum they are in a competitive market and have to live with comparisons. This tech we get here is at least a full gen behind the competition while still running worse than games like CP2077 with activated PT which si something MH can`t even dream about.....

My guy, the minimum requirements are literally below the series s. People at that level already knows their place and don't expect modern AAA games to run all that well.

Ugh, yeah, this is true. Honestly, I don't even get what all the back-and-forth is about, I didn't say ALL the bad reviews. I said A LOT of them because I see A LOT come from people who don't even list their specs, which is pretty sus in my opinion. Complaints like 'herp derp, shader loading takes 30 minutes' without mentioning what hard drive the game is installed on is completely meaningless to me. Shader compilation took around 10 minutes for me, which was long IMO but it's the first run soo...

One thing I suspect is that Capcom screwed up visuals at 1080p because when I run it at 4k it looks remarkable, but at 1080p it looks washed out and blurry. Not sure if that has to do with the High Resolution DLC or not.

Also, my Black character looked brown in character creation but turned into straight charcoal in-game. Honestly, an improvement, character creation seemed to only allow light-skinned Black options anyway.

It's the best console version for sure... but the modes are 1080p 60 fps with dips, 1728p 30 fps or 1404p 40 fps.

I wouldn't call that an optimization masterpiece, more like adding raw power to fix the issue.

You'll need one for GTA eventually anyway. I think because they know most players are on Playstation they want to make sure that has consistent performance before worrying about PC. Isn't that how everyone does nowadays? With Nvidia going off the rails with the price and microstutter in almost every(other) game with the devs blaming the engine-makers and vice versa makes you wonder if the PC still has the same old magic. I mean, if you could download adult content on PS5 Pro you wouldn't need a PC at all. Free your gaming from the whims of your gooning and join the new, young, hip, slick, smooth, sexy, clean, PS5 Pro Master Race.

Then again, I'm 52 years old, so it might just be my aging eyes. Or, maybe I missed something like turning on HDR? Who knows? Will check when I get home from work.

Not really.
Capcom doesn't even make pc ports for in-house projects, they've been building pc first and then achieving console parity for 20 years now even when not releases a pc version right away, so if anything their console versions are ports and pc are the best versions of their games.

totally understandable with the bad reviews. if your game keeps crashing or can't boot up on release, those bad reviews are well deserved. that being said, I played this with my friend and his wife for like 6 hours last night when it dropped. I think she had one crash and was able to get back in without issues. and no problems at all with me and my friend. we're all pretty happy with the game so far.
