Yes, an install is a transformation super. I think the name comes from Sol's Dragon Install from Guilty Gear.
Examples would include - Dante/Vergil devil trigger from UMvC3, Golden Frieza, even Juri Fen Shui mode in SF and Yun Genei Jin

It's basically a power-up super. Think Devil Trigger in (U)MvC3.

They'll likely co-exist, especially with Marvel & Capcom pushing MvCI competitively (either as part of the CPT or with a separate Marvel-approved league). Though I'd be shocked if this didn't join GGXrd as an EVO mainstay.

Anyway, I guess post-KO mix-ups won't be an option since there's a round reset after you kill a character.

I don't think so. It likely will be a separate character. Many attacks here are based on the animations from Extreme Butouden, but none of Goku SSG's or SSB's exclusive attacks are there in the moveset of this Goku.
