Dragon Ball: Xenoverse |OT| Yes, They're Still Making These

You can get by just fine without a charge up skill imo. But even then - I think people just get stuck on swinging for the fences all the time tbh... all it takes is one solid combo to get going. You should have all you need to survive with one bar of Ki to start out with.

Watching friends play, people have seem to have almost no patience when it come to 2v1 or 3v1 fights. You're not going to just stomp enemies out like you may see other people do unless your level, and general experience with the game, is MUCH higher.

That glass cannon stuff is nice - but its a glass cannon.

Once you get Death Ball and any version of the super transformations the entire pve game becomes a joke really, even if you just sit there and let 3 enemies beat on you until your ki is charged you can then transform and juggle them all to death without being hit again.

Death Ball makes you invulnerable during its casting juggles them for a super long time and then stuns them long enough to cast another one to continue the juggle.

Even then you generally have enough time at the start of a mission to ki charge enough bars to get into your super transformation and then just wipe whatever enemies are there out without letting them damage you.

If you then want to take it to the next level in the end game you can get the fully mixed Broly Z soul to start every mission with a full ki bar for even more broken hilarity.

Are there any other really good Ultimate Ki Attacks that do a shit ton of hurt?

I plan on getting the Electric Strike the Androids use because I've been using Raditz's Weekend for nearly my entire run through with Female Saiyan. She's at level 71 and that shit still does work.

Haven't been impressed with most of the ones I've tried.

The Piccolo + Kami Z Soul is another really broken one.

Edit: is Super Vegeta 2 better than SSJ2? I can't see any notable differences.

That's the one I used for most of the PQs and story but it's not super tailored to a ki blast build since you don't want to sit at max ki for much time.

Great for melee type builds though and still a very strong choice for any build in general.

As far as I know there isn't anything of note between them, if anything maybe different ki drain speeds and or damage bonuses but those are both pretty secondary to just having the ability to spam ultimate moves.

Oh lawdy I got Vegito's Spirit Sword strike ultimate. It's quite hard to hit with though, unless I'll work out a decent combo because it comes out rather quickly but has a tiny hitbox on the first part. Might need to lead with charged Arm Crash or a paralysis.

Now I feel like I'm not putting my points wisely lol. Made a Majin and been putting it into mostly attk, stam, and some health and little into the rest.

I'm thinking of creating a new character. Which race is better for striking at people? My Saiyan is pretty much a Ki Blast machine so this time I want to do the opposite.

Is the grading system also based off RNG in this game.. The faster and cleaner I run through a quest the lower the grade I get.

Asking again.

balanced stats, probably not. but nothing wrong with having a ki blast and strike specialist if that's what you'll have fun playing as

i think there's a score requirement, so even though blazing through a mission seems like a good idea, if you only get one or two bonuses from going so fast, your score is too low to get a high rank

Does anyone know how to get the other conditions on the Parallel Quest Attack of the Saiyans? Having trouble with the Saibaman thing.

IIRC, u kill the Saibaman first, then Raditz, then u kill the two Saibamen first, then Nappa, after that u kill Vegeta (might be with an ultimate finish?), lastly Nappa and Raditz will join Vegeta and u need to beat them all again.

It teleports you to your target, or behind them if you are close. It really depends on the type of ult. If it's a beam type KI blast like Final Flash, it would just teleport you right in front of it.

Honestly, Afterimage is probably the best defensive skill in the game since you can avoid anything with it with the right timing, and it costs nothing. But, it also takes the most skill to use. Whoever masters it is going to be hard as hell to beat.

Damn, thought it would be a cheap move to dodge ultimates with, but it kinda sounds too random to be of any use. Might try Afterimage then. :\

Mine is named Turmeric.

Lol. Aren't the pure bred Saiyans the only veggie names? With Frieza being named after fridge stuff because they own the Saiyans?

Okay here you go. Video still processing higher resolutions, but this will show you how cheap this thing is against AI.

You can even see at 2:25, they just stare at you and fly around while I charge to near max. That happens all the time.

I've seen all I need to see.

Where do I get Death Ball.

Okay what I gathered from the video was that ki charge was important but Super Saiyan and Death Ball were just as important which is what you left out of your original post.

Max Ki Blast Supers, Max Health.

Just charge up and blast away from far. Make sure you have the Ki charge skill.

Which is why I was questioning it in the first place. Just charging and supers alone will not get you the same kind of results, especially if you don't have Super Saiyan which makes it much easier to sustain. Also at 2:25 you did get to charge 4 bars and I have seen that happen but it's only on occasion. Especially on a stage with 3 enemies who are prone to ki blasting. But it would have been really helpful if you'd just clarified your build specifically in the first place.

Well that is my new build.

I facerolled the PQs with a human ki blaster, but Saiyan mode is more efficient.

Yeah but Death Ball and Super Saiyan makes that a lot easier to manage. The same strategy without those two or human ki region is a lot harder and relies on ki charging a lot more. Say Ultimate Charge + Final Flash on a Frieza race doesn't work nearly as well. Your strategy does look great, but it really wasn't too obvious without actually listing the skills and showing it.

Yeah something is up with Super Saiyans. I hope we dont get nerfed into oblivion and it is all by design. But this is hard to believe when I use that talent from Frieza called something "..... scum" where when I get KOed I come back with some health and infinite ki.

Btw you have a nice character there. I should point out that it takes a bit of farming to get those two skills. So you probably deserve to be able to beat the snot out of everything with it. I just wonder was this all by design?

I've never seen that connection! That actually makes sense, but the other more science minded race that lived on the planet were named after fruits right?

I just got Candy Beam, but I think it's only Majin exclusive since I can't find it on my Skill list, and I was so looking forward to using it...

Saiyans weren't science like. In the original series, the smart ones was the other race that coexisted with the saiyans on their planet (Tulips are whatever the heck they were called). But the Saiyan tribe steamrolled them and I suspect, stole their tech. But I'm pulling the last part out my arse

[edit] Hm, checked wiki. Saiyans were smarter than I thought.
I thought they grew up on Planet Vegeta but lore seems to suggest that is not their original planet

Where'd you get Candy Beam from?

And it should be in your skill list even if you can't use it; you simply won't be able to equip it. All items/skills show the races capable of using the item.

Sounds like you need a dragon radar!

I hate how stamina controls blocking and every avoidance move in this game makes it that much harder to deal with spammers and even seems to encourage it.

I think invincible during Deathball is a bug.

I went from Final Flash to Perfect Kamehameha to Death Ball.

Perfect Kamehameha has an invincibility Z-Soul that's really nice, but Death Ball misses way less often, and, of course, stun locks lol.

Is there a list of all the PQ hidden requirements?

I use this

Parallel Quest 31. It even has it greyed out in the Basic Reward list, but it isn't in my Skill list. Just checked and it shows up in my Item List at least. Sucks though since it renders your opponent unable to do anything for a good 3 seconds. A really good Evasive Skill. The only downside is you can't attack them either.

I don't know if this was mentioned already in this thread but Number 052 - Great Ape Festival gives a TON of points to level up your character! And very easy to do. Lots of tail grabing. ;)
