Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC |OT| Wolves hunt in 4K

I'm on a mission to motivate people to stop equipping ugly DLC gear. If this means I have to give out BBI gear to every pawn on my friends list, then by god I will.

Plus I savescum chests like a whore and have extra everything.

Is there a route you do for that stuff? I can sort of take on the dragons in BBI but I've got nothing for them to dragonforge anymore

This is why I feel like ill never get rid of this outfit, the best shit my mage pawn can wear, and the queen outfit just murders all that shit.

Yeah, it's just much better than any of the gear I can get now for my fighter. I have to baby her a lot more to make sure she lives without it due to her inclinations.

Well, for level 3 weapons:

- Daimon, second form: hate this guy. Some people farm him, I avoid him.
- Death: pretty easy to farm. Go in alone as an MA or Ranger. Spam Richotte or Blast arrows at him. Time consuming if he keeps running away if you fail at stunlocking him.
- Fallen City and Stockade in post-Daimon BBI each has a chest you can savescum for level 3 weapons. Both maps have enemies that are problematic unless you're well geared. My initial farming involved hauling ass through these maps. Later on it become easier to just kill everything (apart from all the zombie dragons and Death that respawns)

Level 3 armor is all over the place. Death and all the high level dragonkin in BBI drop them, plus there are multiple chests that can contain it post-Daimon. The wiki has some amazingly detailed maps with chest drop lists.

Should I just be doing the mainquest? I've gotten some sidequests but not a real sidequest giver yet.

Fashion > function man. Don't do this to yourself/us. Those DLC outfits RUINED low/mid level pawns. The stats might be good but having thousands of duchess cosplayers running around my world was almost enough to make me stop playing this.

Well none of yall are on my steam friendslist so I doubt any of yall will ever see my pawn outside of the gifs and pictures I make.

Post your SteamID so we can add you and rate your princess 1 star like assholes.

And potentially give her some armor that isn't pink.

The save system in this game is infuriating. I had a save from before I reported that I had killed the griffin, but talking to the chamberlain autosaved it so I lost my manual save and now the quest I wanted to do, The Conspirators, was cancelled. Fuck this. I've had enough.

Daimon v.2 is the most efficient way of getting at least one lvl3 weapon and armor piece, don't worry about him dropping anything, just use the chests.

If you have the Revenant Wail silver/gold-forged + 4 conq periapts and large mushrooms, he goes down in 1min for both forms.

An entire run from the surface and back takes less than 10min.

I've been using slightly inferior armour on my Sorc pawn for that reason lol.

I just want her to be unique dammit!

Resting at an inn or visiting a riftstone creates a seperate "checkpoint save". If you did either of the above not long ago then try loading up your checkpoint and finishing up The Conspirators first. But really, you're missing absolutely nothing with failing Conspirators. Certainly isn't worth quitting the game over.

So do we get port crystals that we can place anywhere at some point? I'm right up to the first set of Wyrm quests.
You get some as you go through the main quest (aka. you'll find them in places you're sent to), you'll end up with like 4 or 5 on the first playthrough. In NG+ you can buy them for 200k, but you're still limited to 10 placed at once.

It overwrote both saves. Restoring to a checkpoint or to the manual/auto-save yielded the same results. As long as I only miss out on some lame quest rewards, then I don't mind. But I hate when I don't know if I'm missing out on enemy encounters or having areas locked off like the Witchwood. I don't want to play with a wiki open just because there's no warning when you're about to pass a point of no return.

Well in that case...let me get like two level 3 BBI weapons. :0

Doing certain story quests actually creates a checkpoint save sadly.

I don't even just mean GAFers man. Us in the broad sense. Dragon's Dogma players deserve better than Duchess gear. YOU deserve better than Duchess gear...

So, I was traveling toward Witchwood and the castle to do the Witch's Brew and a troublesome tome. I think I was level 25 or so at the time so some of those bandits were still quite challenging (though nothing two/three great cannons with ice enchantment couldn't handle :p ) while battling I was turning around to get a view of the battle only to notice my main Pawn Amelia (a Ranger) getting attacked by two bandits at once.... only she was backflipping like crazy away from them avoiding all of their attacks. Didn't know pawns could do that...

Also, fuck Ogres. I'm a female, my main pawn is female, and I don't care what gender I hire. I'm doing the Ancient Quarry quest right now. I killed the first ogre and reported back to the quest giver. I noticed it's night out so I decided to go undead hunting around the abbey for some notice board quests. I ran into the two ogres that spawn nearby. Of course, I have three females in my party so they both go ballistic. I think it must of been a twenty minute battle. The fighter pawn "died" like three times, the mage I had "died" twice, and even my main pawn "died" once. I did manage to revive them, but wow it was hard to juggle reviving them, setting up great cannons, and dodge two enraged Ogres that keep trying to drop kick me.

I love this game.

This is something dredged up from my memories, but would you check defenses and resistances from the character info as a whole between the dress and a more traditional multi-piece collection of armor and clothing.

I seem to remember that the equipment screen comparison is quite dishonest about it due to how the comparison is being done. Like it doesn't count your arm, legs and feet armor slots at all or something like that.

Doing the Trial and Tribulations quest, and just picked up the soldier you have to escort. Went about 20 meters and this happened.

Ha ha...I'm guilty. I've got ugly ass dlc stuff on my pawn I think.

You really have extra everything? Well, if you respond to begging, do you have an extra Boots of Oblivion with the +carry capacity bonus? I will pay you back in pawn rentals and rotten beast steaks.

This is the best idea. When/if I'm ever not too much of a shitter for BBI I'd love to give extra gear away to low level pawns rather than selling it.

I personally never had a problem with stuff like this, to me it's just more incentive to replay it. I kinda love the amount of cool stuff you can miss.

I would have cheated by using the eternal ferrystone.

I did that with every escort quest I could back on my PS3.

okay, Reynard just wont give me the search party quest and I don't know what to do.

I've bought a million things from him all in separate transactions and he just refuses.

Anyone know if there is anything else you need to do?

(I'm in the middle of doing trials and tribulations at the moment)

You mind hiring my pawn? I barely got any rift crystals and maybe my skill set for my pawn is atrocious and that is why no one is hiring her.

Pretty much I'm begging people to hire my pawn and see what is wrong with her skills or whatever as she is not getting hired and that makes me sad, Fighter Pawn(Aurora)

What level? I'll hire if she's around my range.

As expected, nu-BBI isnt doing much for me :/

Im just not a "NG+" kinda guy, even with the souls games, which have over the years become probably my favorite series ever, I never played NG+. I finished Dark Souls twice and Dark Souls 2 three times, but always as new characters.

Guess ill probably go ahead and do the post game ending and call it. Still, 60+ hours and I absolutely loved it, so i got my money's worth and then some :)

The notice board "side quests" aren't worth actively doing. Accept the slay/collect quests and don't worry about actually accomplishing them. The escort quests are only for extra rewards (and can be cheesed by teleporting).

The other side quests vary. The best ones give you motivation to go to a part of the map you might not otherwise need to visit and some optional "boss" encounters. For the most part, though, I'd advise you to stick to the main quest unless you really enjoy grinding out 100% completion or just want to take a break. Although I enjoyed the combat with various creatures throughout and exploring the small dungeons/caves, the best part of the game, IMO, is in the two post-dragon dungeons (
Everfall
and
BBI
), and getting burnt out by doing mundane side quests before you get to experience those areas would be a pity.

Made a bunch of progress today thanks to being snowed in. Getting closer to the end and onward to BBI, which I never experienced when I played through on the 360 pre Dark Arisen. Super pumped!

Oh, look up my pawn, Apollo. She's a good warrior, with Challenger, Mitigator inclination. I'm in the Steam group, same name as here. :]
