Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC |OT| Wolves hunt in 4K

Speaking of hotkeys does anyone elses game forget the binding for the lantern? Mine is doing it regularly, so I need to go into my inventory frequently to reassign it. Is it perhaps because the lantern is out of oil? I just can't tell because it seems really random too. It's remembering the other stuff (curatives) I have hotkeyed.

Lantern has three states. Full, half-full, empty. The binding only works for one state.

Can get around it by keeping the damn thing topped up, or simply assigning another hotkey to a half-full lantern, but yeah. It's a bit annoying

I'm just apologizing because I changed the pawn's equipment to the Lady's Garb and sent the pawn back on the rift after completing the quest. I didn't know that it would update the pawn in its owner's game, I just found out today because a friend of mine (that I did the same thing, as he was also a male pawn) said that he laughed at his pawn when I returned to him in the same condition.

I bought the sets from the Black Cat, I just needed it to a quest and have no use for them anymore.

when the pawn returns with a new equipments, the game will ask the player if he wants the origin equipment back so it's or really a problem

I was freaked out when it happened to me the first time

Gah, stupid pawns. I hired a random mage that has fire/thunder/ice affinity. I'm in the catacombs against the undead. I have a fire weapon. She casts fire affinity on everyone except me... which she casts ice enchantment (overriding the fire of my weapons) so I'm now ineffective against the undead...

Is there a way to get good gear early game? I'm in the everfall and my pawns are doing most of the work since my gear is apparently shit lol
I tried buying a whole set of new skills and bought the balder and enhanced it but still I can't do any noticeable damage to any of the foes :(

The beginning of the game is tough, especially on hard, but it evens out soon and is a fair challenge. I played the whole game on hard and it was a good difficulty from like level 20 onward.

Everfall isn't early game...

Everfall is the first quest you get once you get to gran soren (its not the post game everfall)

I might be reading it wrong, but I think the poster needed to equip Gabe with the female garb so he could do quests for Ophis the female bandit who will attack you if she sees any males in your party.

I meant if he gave away the female garb he can always get a new one from the black cat in gran soren.

EDIT: So, sorry for the double post :(
I thought I was editing my own post (sorry again) :(

I thought DD dark arisen PC version comes with some okay gear from the DLC packs.
If not , go to the quarry as I've seen a sword embedded eternally with fire there.
you might need a bit of luck tho.

Hmm. :\ I will endeavour to keep it topped up then. Thanks.

Am I an idiot or is my game bugged? I always thought you couldn't kill Death, and finished bbi just running away from him, till my friend said he killed him. Death for me goes immune to all damage immediately after my first attack on him. The first attack hurts him, he goes immune and follows me till I go into the next zone. The hell is happening, how am I supposed to kill him? I'm using focused holy bolts, which should smoke him if he wasn't immune to everything.

Overwhelming damage.

No, seriously. If you damage him but don't pound him continuously he just teleports away. Stack +damage consumables and keep hitting him. If your attacks don't hurt him enough he'll just kill you or fuck off.

So I started this game yesterday. Absolutely love it. Played like 7 hours from afternoon til night. I can't recall the last time I did that with a game.

But now I have a problem: I somewhat accidentally accepted an escort quest that requires me to go to (A Parting Tribute) that requires me to go to Shadow Fort. I spent a couple hours yesterday exploring various ways that I might get there (I wasn't sure if I should go around north, or try to find away around south). Lots of adventures ensured from my hopeless wandering.

Well, today, I finally caved and looked up how to get there. Thankfully, the wiki had a nice map:
latest

So it turns out it really is quite a trek. I'm currently somewhere around level 17-18, still using cheap equipment, and haven't even explored most of the main city yet. I'm thinking of going around south so that I can get my escort out of my party, but, frankly, I'm not sure it's really worth the trek. If I abandon the quest, will it reappear later? Is there any penalty? What are my chances of being able to run around the south path and make it there in one piece?

As far as I know, escort quests mostly exist so you can boost affinity to NPCs and the actual rewards aren't worth it. The quest can disappear but only if the NPC leaves the game through a story/quest moment since they'll just respawn in a few days when they die.

So the answer is not to bother with escort quests because they're garbage. Or cheat them by placing a portcrystal at the destination beforehand and just warp there.

You can go there solo (you can survive, also there'a a safe camp on your way for resting and buying items) place a portcrystal there, then accept the quest and just teleport.

Another option is following the green lines, there's a mine there with a quest that involves killing 3 ogres inside, but once you clear it the mines are safe and are a nice shortcut.

The quest is missable once you do all wyrm hunts, but the reward isn't really worth it IMO. A lot of escort quests are just an excuse for exploring the overworld.

Going there solo and using a port crystal is (as far as I know) out of the question, since the escort NPC has been in my party for a couple hours now (and I've dragged him through several other quests + dungeons with me).

The reward is apparently a longsword, so I don't want to miss out on the chance to do the quest. But can I abandon it now (I assume you can abandon quests, right?) and have it reappear later? Will I get slaughtered if I try to go around the south side (a forced encounter with 3 ogres sounds like it might end in disaster)?

He stops taking any damage after the first hit. x4 demon periphats and focused bolt don't do any damage to him. The same move takes of 2 health bars off daimon and ur-dragon. My other spells don't work on him either. He just hangs doing his moves, hit him for 10 minutes last time, didn't do anything to his health. The next time he appears he's at full hp again.

How to acquire female armor to make Ophis react with no hostility towards my male Arisen? I'm merely level 26.

edit: Apparently, I do have some female armors however, I can't equip them even thoug they're accessible to any class!?

Anyone has that reshade or whatever that just added some slight saturation? I remember it being posted around near launch day but i can't find it anymore. I've been jumping from enb to enb but they all look like shit.

So I'm running on Windows 10 and I have to delete the config each time before I start the game. Is that normal or is there a way to do it just once?

Death is highly resistant to Holy damage, unlike just about everything else in BBI (except the Bishop). Try a staff with a different element, and if that fails, just try again when you have top-tier level 3 weapons.

alternatively: switch to ranger and bring blast arrows.

YOu can't wear female armours obviously, you need genderless armour that is classified as female, like mercedes' outfit.

I think it depends, but if you cancel I think you can pick it up again, but some might disappear if a lot of in game time passes.

As for the best route you should clear the Quarry( where you have the green route). There are two ogres inside that cave that may cause the most problem, but other thatn that it should be easy. Just stick the wall once you exit.

If he was resistant to it, it wouldn't do as much damage as it does to him if I use it as my first attack, every subsequent attack just knocks him down, but doesn't damage him. I'll swap in some more spells anyway.

Just saying this so you don't beat yourself for it later:
You can drop escort quests and pick them up again as long as you don't progress the main story too much. Meaning if you really want the rewards drop the quest, go there and place a portcrystal and then ferrystone your way to completion.

Death doesn't have a fixed elemental resistance.

Oh I'm also using a laptop which is one of the issues apparently. I mean it's not a big deal at all, once I found out what the issue was it takes like 10 seconds - just annoying.

I'm playing on a laptop with Windows 10 (upgraded from 8.1 which was upgraded from 8.0). No issues and no idea what you're talking about.

Online Ur-Dragon is real low, just about on his last bar, so I imagine grace is coming up. Get in there people.

That's super weird. He's not supposed to heal, and as long as you're hitting him fairly high up on his hitbox it should connect.

What is up with that dragon near gran soren flying to the sea and going up and down like an idiot? I keep running into it, but was unable to properly fight it because it keeps pulling that shit on me

I'm getting a weird bug all of a sudden. Playing as Mystic Knight, the buff that is bound to LB+X doesn't ever get cast. It just stays in the casting animation, flashing casting bar and all. It's like as if I never let go of LB. Y and B work fine, even tried swapping skills around but the problem still persists.

It's not an issue caused by my controller either, since the keyboard is showing the same behavior.
Restarting the game doesn't help either.

Edit: Rebooting my PC apparently fixed it. Whatever, game.

Gotta ground it.

Break it's wings to ground i permanently. Hit it's face and chest to bring it down temporarily. Consider climbing on it and weighing it down. Without ranged weapons it's a bit of a crapshoot.
