What's the easiest way to pull a ps3 save file from a data0.dat file? I downloaded brute force but it said a dll was missing so I uninstalled it.

Would anyone be willing to help me extract my save file? If so send me a message. Thanks!

ok i just changed vocation for mage and I have 2 spells, anodyne and ingle, the thing is I cast any of those and my character only stays casting, the bar under the name of the spell fills quickly and keeps flashing, but i cant cast the spells.

I tried pressing all buttons, removing my finger from L1/R1 but it doesnt make shit. Im playing with a DS3 controller if that helps.

I really, really, really don't like stat growth systems like DDDA's, FFIII's and others. I'm just gonna try to forget about it and not get into a min-max kind of mindset.

Gamechanger :O

Yes you start forcing yourself into playing classes you do not want just to get those "perfect stat growths"

I did that as a Mage wanting to go Mystic Knight on the X360 and it soured me in the game.
Just ignoring it mostly, playing Strider and I might go Mystic Archer later on after getting all the skills I want or maxing my vocation.

I now have access to explosive arrow but didnt buy it... I didnt want to drop any of my 3 spells now that I love ricochet ;_;

To be fair tho ricochet is useless out and about ao I would replace that until I was in doors but its not like you can change skills freely ;_;

How good is explosive anyway fellow magic archers?

I'm only 8-10 hours in or so. Got the hydra head to the castle. I have about 923875928 quests right now and I'm trying to find what to do.

Still a Strider but I saw I can upgrade to a Ranger when I get enough disciplne. Though I feel like I'm weak compared to melee/magic? With no lock on, and how fast some enemies move it seems using ranged is never really a good idea. Tips?

Mystic Archer might be your alley.

But yes I also feel my bow does no damage unless its enchanted by my mage. But when it is, it's two hits to kill someone which is great.

Yea, mage enchatment is huge. But once the battle starts I feel it's hard to hit. I don't feel like it's 2 kills at the moment though unless I do the triple arrow attack. Mostly right now I'm doing the ensnare daggar ability, that seems really OP.

All of the classes are pretty solid choices. I recall beating DD as a ranger/assassin when it first came out and you get so many spammable bow skills that'll make cottage cheese out of whatever you're aiming at.

Edit: Your gear will improve as you keep playing and magic enchantments are pretty useful. Like the other poster said, mystic archer might be what you're looking for.

My main pawn is level 15 now (Mage) and I'm an Assassin. Should I stick with Mage or change her into something else like a Sorcerer?

Right now running a Warrior-Assassin-Mage-Mage party is working sorta well.

I use my mouse to aim and it's pretty OP when I can land 90% of my shots (Unlike when using a controller)
I even did some MLG montage worthy shots against some harpies after finishing my dagger combo.

Love your shots.
Btw did you unlock the crazy-ass sorcerer spells yet? Bolide is one of the first of those you get.
I didn't have that much time this weekend, and what I did have was split 50:50 between fixing/extending GeDoSaTo and playing, so not yet. But I'm looking forward to it!

Do you rely on your mage to cast heal spells? The sorceror class doesn't have any healing spells though they make up for it with more offensive spells and such.

So can anyone tell me if I'm going to be high enough level?

So... I'm level 21, I just finished the pawn dungeon thing that you do when you first arrive in Gran Soren. I then accepted an escort quest called Elsewhere Bound.
I need to bring Selene to the Healing Springs but I've never been there. In fact I've never been further north than the city itself. Is level 21 going to be good?

Cause I've been told that if I go back to the board and quit the quest, I can never do it again...

If I am high enough level... Than this will take a long time...

Up to lvl 35 on hard mode as a pure fighter, with a sorcerer as my main pawn. Just finished the 2nd Wrymhunt quest, and found a wild griffin out in the world. I shockingly took it down without issue though. I am guessing this is around the point where hard mode becomes less hard? I have noticed I am getting one shot less by random bandits as of late for sure.

Also tried out the ENB mod, and not only does the settings getting posted a while back crush the hell out of every black in the game, it takes my loads from almost instant to like 20 seconds. That can't be normal right?

So can anyone tell me if I'm going to be high enough level?

I made it up there around my high 20's. All I remember encountering on the road was
A couple bandits, Harpies and a few packs of Dire Wolves

You can save scum your way up there no problem if you take your time.

Haha, well, all the stuff the pawn was carrying will go into your stash so don't worry.

Christ bolide.

Amazing spell.Amazing effects.

At night, out in the fields, shit is freakishly reminiscent of incoming artillery.

Question: Does anyone know if there's a way to prevent
dragonkin from killing your pawns with their roar ability
? I think the answer is no but I can't really find any definite info.

I've officially passed where I made it on the PS3 version and have been having a blast with the Mystic Knight. I wish I had tried that when I first played, I may have made it further.

How do you remove the helmets that some Cyclops wear? One of the pawns I was using said to climb up, but no matter how much I hit it nothing seemed to happen. Is there something special I should have been doing?

Spent nearly 20 hours playing this over the weekend. Being a strider/magick archer is fucking fun as heeeeeeeell. I played as a fighter in the original version but decided to go for those this time, I'm like a stabby kung fu master zipping all over the place. Love the cutting winds skill. Playing it at 60fps is a joy as well, just feels so damn good to play. Loving it all over again and never got to play Bitterblack Isle so got that to look forward too. I know it's supposed to be a lot harder than the main game but is it actually any good ?

Anyway loving being back in the world of Dragons Dogma, great stuff :)

The enemy has to remove it and they remove the helm when they get hit a lot in the head while wearing it. Don't think there's a way to knock it off yourself, but could be wrong. Past a certain point I remember it being more efficient to just knock them down and kill them by damaging their body, since the helmet prevents a lot of damage while it's on.

I thought I remembered reading that somewhere, but I was up there quite a while banging on the helmet and nothing happened so I thought I was wrong. Oh well, he eventually died anyway.

Cool. So otherwise this will just take a long time. XD

I almost dropped my controller when I saw just how far up north the objective was.

Bugged out the lost and found quest again by doing the pawn quest before doing lost and found, ferry stoning back and doing it, after having done the pawn quest but before the guard runs up to you, lets you do the quest, but then you cant turn it in, oh well.

Played the shit out of this on PS3, but unforch don't have a PC that can take proper advantage of this. Its one of my very favourite games from last gen too.

Mainly just stopped in to let you all know that I'm a bit jelly of anyone getting to experience this for the 1st time, but mostly to commend the OT title.

Might remember it wrong, but I think he removes it once you destroy the tusks.

Ah, I should have hung off the front of his head a bit longer then. I spent most of my time hitting the back of the helmet. I'll give that a shot if I come across another one, thanks!

The armored cyclops is annoying because you need to get it to remove its own helmet, but if any of your pawns have lightning attacks they'll just constantly stun it instead. I just run past any of them outside of the main missions.

Post-game:
I started going through the Everfall, got the Chimera/Gorechimera/Hellhound Lich clusterfuck on my third or fourth chamber exploration. Managed to do it without dying, so I'm pretty pleased.
