What's the difference between sword and hammer anyway?
I'm using sword and I love doing the jump attack too, lol.
Hammers do blunt damage and generally knockdown/stagger enemies easier. Swords do slashing damage(I think more enemies are weak to slashing than they are to blunt)What's the difference between sword and hammer anyway?

I meant at that point in the main story.
that drake is in front of the fortress that is part of one of the early main quest missions. and I didn't see a way to get past him without aggroing him.
the content in the actual fortress is a lot easier, so I thought he is not meant to be killed at that point, since he basically oneshots my pawns and me
- Their forward attacks (swipe, pound, etc) are brutal. Never fight these things from the front.
well, you gotta do it a little if you want a dragon horn
Makes sense. Thanks.Hammers do blunt damage and generally knockdown/stagger enemies easier. Swords do slashing damage(I think more enemies are weak to slashing than they are to blunt)
Drakes, Wyrms and Wyverns are probably your first introduction to the upper class of giant monster:
- They can insta kill pawns. Like a death effect of sorts. Can't do shit about it.
- Their forward attacks (swipe, pound, etc) are brutal. Never fight these things from the front.
- They can fly, so you need to disable their wings if you're a melee combatant.
- Most of their bodies are armored as fuck. Hitting them anywhere but their exposed heart, head or wings is pointless.
- They are remarkably easier if you can climb onto their chests and apply burst damage to their exposed hearts. This knocks them over.
With the proper consumables they can be killed fairly early. Protip: stacked damage buffs.
ARE YOU SUREHaha, well, all the stuff the pawn was carrying will go into your stash so don't worry.
thanks!
what about the sorcerer though?
Yep I'm sure.ARE YOU SURE
Holy shit that's good to know.
Also, I have to say, that Griffin quest is one of the most memorable gaming moments I have ever had. Such an amazing quest. The final battle was a bit less epic because a side-quest NPC stormed in throwing fire spells, he basically one shot the poor Griffin so I couldn't really fight it. Meh.
Lay down a ruinous sigil on top of the cannons. Enemies set it off which in turn sets off the cannons for maximum mayhem.I love Magic Cannon so much. When everyone piles on my orbs--sweet jesus.
can you keep all the augmentations when you change the vocation or only certain ones? is that all that you can keep when changing vocations?
I reached the top of sorcerer and thought about rocking some MK or MA for a time, maybe even mage if the augmentations are worth it.

You can kill it, and then break the horns off the corpse before it disintegrates.
holy shit if you let the hydra rampage through the training camp/fort there's actually a unique cutscene with mercedes tossing you an explosive barrel that the hydra swallows
this game is such a mystery
ENB + http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/4/? I imagine. Super easy to install, I haven't noticed any banding since.
I just maxed out my sorcerer, should I change my vocation? it took 20+ hours to max it out -__-
Switch freely, level as many as you can. That's one of the games strongest aspects. Not only do augments carry over to all vocations, but certain vocations are better at certain things. You'll very likely find yourself flipping between them.
Might also find a class type you wouldn't usually play that you enjoy.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaatyes, and you can do that before the cutscene to get pawn knowledge about how to fight the hydra.
it's more than twice which is the best part because bbi++ (third runthrough) incredible as an ender to the gameno ng+ is not more difficult. There is a "ng+ kind of thing" in BBI only, so to finish the isle completely you have to make the run two times.
Do you guys remember a time when there was no Dragon's Dogma on PC?
whaaaaaaaaaaaaat
also:

this game Really needs a mod that makes the various foes attack if each other I'd on sight.. I mean that if I'm fighting bandits and a chimera appears, it destroys immersion for it to attack me and only me when there are pretty succulent bandits in front on him.. it almost look like it's their pet instead of a savage beast
Holy crap! This game has SOOO many story elements taken straight out of Berserk! It's pretty awesome. Makes me wish they made a new Berserk game.
Like what?
Like what?
Are the throwable bottles actually very useful and I need to git gud and learn how to aim properly or not really worth using? Currently, I feel like it's a waste of item load to carry them.
the explosives are very OP. Very usefull.
Can anyone help me with this? I purchased the eternal ferrystone from the capital as soon as I got there but it doesn't exist in my inventory or bank storage at all.
Anyway to fix this?
