Holy crap! This game has SOOO many story elements taken straight out of Berserk! It's pretty awesome. Makes me wish they made a new Berserk game.

Why do you think there was a Guts armor and weapons in this game? :)
There was even a Grifith armor with his Rapier

Okay... what do you do with those glowing small rocks and bird nests? They seem lootable but I get no prompt to deal with them. I bought a pickax for mining those big veins but don't know what to do with this little things.

Purchase? It should have been free in storage! After a certain quest I believe (I think its the escort to GS).

Yeah, I spoke to a vendor in GS and it was available to purchase at the bottom so I bought it.. everything else listed was in my bank though.. weird. I know I didn't sell it.

I have like 3 port stones to BI.

Shoot them

EDIT: The nests, I mean, no idea about the rocks.

Is there a trick to getting GeDoSaTo to work with this game? I don't have any issues with the few other games I use it with, but I'm not sure if it's the auto keyboard controls causing problems. Having the game "set" to use a controller doesn't seem to actually do anything either since the game will auto switch based on the button or key pressed. I just checked the other games that I use GeDoSaTo with, and it still works fine with them.

Hey guys, has somebody figured out how to force MSAA in this game? FXAA looks blurry as hell, and I'd like to have proper AA.

If not, I guess I will have to downsample + SMAA GeDoSaTo. Way better than shitty FXAA, by far.

I put in 28 hours over the weekend.

This game is quite brilliant. Super rough around the edges, the story is garbage, the MMORPG quests are garbage, there's tons of unpolished shit in it, but man, that combat system is super addictive. I don't think the SOTC 'grabbing an enemy' thing really works at all in this game, but they're doing some things better than even any of the Souls games did.

Very surprised by this game and how it got shat on initially - I'm guessing the tech issues soured the experience for most people, but jesus, what a brilliant little gem.

It looks like we really need an easy way to combine changes to the "game_main.arc" file. A lot of information and changes to the game seem to go throught this file.

At the moment, the PS3 button, the less or no stamina while running and the remove Arisen Scar mod all want to change that file and therefore overwrite each other.
This will hopefully not get as annoying as the "Coalesced.bin" file for Mass Effect etc.

Probably all the stuff related to difficulty and Enemy placement etc would also require some changes to this file (I'm just guessing here)

What mod do you use for the DS3 UI buttons? I can combine it with the other mods if you'd like, it's pretty easy actually.

I made a combined mod (Removed Chest Scar + Unlimited Sprinting/Reduced Stamina Usage) available on the Nexus. Let me know if you'd like to include something else that alters the same file.

So I got to Gran Soren and first I thing I did was to blindly accept all the board quests. Immediately after that a dude comes and an escort mission begins. Now, two hours later and one pawn drawned because awesome AI, I'm at the gates of some Shade Fort or something of the like. No more blindly massing enter in front of boards for me.

I have completely screwed the pooch on my game so hard regarding failed quests, merchant upgrades etc that I'm glad the DLC area seems to completely obsolete all that stuff.

I just want to say it is really, really fucking messed up that by just accepting all quests at the board you can have NPCs die because it starts escort quests. Which send you into high level areas immediately at the start of the game, and of course the NPC runs headfirst into combat and dies instantly.

As someone who appreciates the practice of heading into hard areas early for cool rewards I like that you have that option. But god damn why would they do this.

On top of that (Fournival questline): I apparently have permanently missed out on some good stuff
(until NG+ which I won't be playing) because he was found guilty. But I had 4 pieces of evidence in his favor and a witness? Absolute nonsense.

You can go back to the board and cancel it. Won' thave a failed quest and you can pick it up later.

Can't wait to get home from class and sink some time into this. So far I've just spent time adjusting graphics options.

I need to decide what my Arisen and Pawn should look like... The most time consuming part of any RPG.

I actually think the grabbing thing works well enough. I had the same impression as you did the first time I played it, but just using it to hit weak spots instead of a main form of dealing damage makes it a lot more fun. Like just using it to cut the Chimera's tail rather than staying on top of it for the whole fight makes it interesting. If you spend too long grabbing and slashing, then it gets really boring because of the lack of different attacks when you're up there.

What an awesome game. Spent all my gaming time this weekend on DD. I think I'm even further than I was on the ps3 version now and not slowing down. PC makes it so so much better. Framerate is top notch, 4k looks great. I'll dig into enb once it's confirmed that the load issues are resolved.

I don't know if anyone is using my pawn. Wish the system was working properly. Somehow my mage pawn has become a scather. It's not terrible. She's loaded with fire and heals and usually dishes out some good damage while keeping the party up. Wish she would toss me a boon a little more often though. Bought an ultarian potion and I'm having a forgery made. Hope that works lol.

Only level 20 but really digging the game. Putting in as much time as two kids allow!

Getting really frustrated that GeDoSaTo won't work at all with the game. With it on, the game wouldn't start at all, and then I deactivated it and it would loop Steam's "Preparing to launch" window and also not start.

I had exactly the same problem. I don't know specifically what fixed it, but I can tell you what I did to get it to work. It was my first time using the program so I didn't really know what I was doing.

  • I moved GeDoSaTo from C:\Program Files\GeDoSaTo to D:\GeDoSaTo.
  • Updated to the latest GeDoSaTo version to reset to the default settings.
  • In 'Edit Settings', I created a user file from GeDoSaTo.ini, copied the three present* lines and set them to my monitor's resolution.
  • I downloaded Alo81's presets (https://sta.sh/0157wis0f8jy) and added the files to the respective subfolder in the GeDoSaTo folder.
  • With the most recent version of GeDoSaTo, you have to add the line "addProcessingPass deband.fx" in Alo81's DDDA user config file below "enablePostprocessing true". Then you can delete the line "USE_DEBAND ..." in 'Edit Alt. Postprocessing' from the DDDA profile.

I hope I've got everything right, as I'm not on my PC, but now it works fine for me and the game looks great with some downsampling and Alo81's settings.

Picked this up again, finally. Played the game on 360 when it came out (prior to Dark Arisen being released), beat it and absolutely loved it. Excited to get back through it and head to the Dark Arisen expansion stuff once I complete the game again. Looks great and runs great on PC. Nice to see all the awesome character and monster designs in 1080p.

Played five hours last night and made it to Gran Soren. Feels good to be back!

holy shit if you let the hydra rampage through the training camp/fort there's actually a unique cutscene with mercedes tossing you an explosive barrel that the hydra swallows

this game is such a mystery

I got this cutscene...must have let the fight go on too long haha.. LOVE THIS GAME.

Sometimes the simplest soulutions are correct right? I actually read the "update" icon as "updated version 2085". It had not been too long ago since I installed the then latest, so I didn't believe that much had changed, but that fixed it.

No worries. Keep in mind if you made changed to the profiles that came with the program they reset each update.

That is if you don't make user profiles.

Just went to
Tomb of Unknown Traveller
and meet some kind of
rock Orge
, I said fuck it and beat it. This game man
And I just switched to Assassin, goddamn this is the best class imo. Mystic Knight is not for me, way to defensive and boring than I thought

What's the simplest way to fix banding?

Download GeDoSaTo. Run the installer/updater and install it to a permanent location (e.g. C:\GeDoSaTo).

Enter GeDoSaTo\config\DDDA and create a text file named "GeDoSaTo_user.ini". Open it up with Notepad/Notepad ++ and put in the following:

Code:
enablePostprocessing true
addProcessingPass deband.fx

Save and close.

Start up the game with GeDoSaTo running in the background.

---

edit: You can do all this in the GeDoSaTo interface as well:

Edit Settings -> Profile: config\DDDA\GeDoSaTo.ini -> Press "U" icon -> OK -> Paste the code (found above) below "# Add your custom settings below" and save.

You can also copy any commands (resolution, effects, AO etc.) from the global GeDoSaTo.ini to your game specific .ini if you'd like to set those to a specific game.

Tried assassin... Bleh... Not enough defensive skills. Sword and board fighter for me all day. Hindsight sweep is glorious.

I know it's a tall order, but does anyone know if there's any possibility in this fine universe that Sectus's amazing X360/PS3 save file transfer could work with vanilla Dragon's Dogma on the X360/PS3?

I never finished DD vanilla on my Xbox and would love to pickup where I left off. Did all sorts of cool shit but moved on to newer games after 50+ hours.

I am become Death, the Destroyer of worlds.

wait what, i don't remember that quest at all

You run into her in cassardis and she ask you to take her to the encampment, don't remember if it's important or not but I'm going to stop thinking about it, I really only care about buying gears from her so probably not a big deal since she's still at gran soren.

So for my assassin, the 6 skills everyone is talking about is my 3 loaded for dagger or sword and the three loaded for now right? Or am I missing something critical to be able to use 6 dagger skills?

When at the grigori fight does anyone know where selecting last checkpoint after dying will bring you? My party makeup for this fight is not ideal. Also can you fast travel back without dropping a crystal here?
