My frames cannot reach 60 FPS at all without dropping between 40-55 and I'm not sure why,

GTX 970
AMD FX 8320
16 gigs of ram

Why can't I get 60 fps? I'm reading that other people with far worse computers are maxing this and hitting more than 60. I want to enjoy this game at glorious 60 fps god damn it!

Same exact set-up, but my CPU and GPU are overclocked, and I get solid 60 at 1080P-1440P, drops at 4k. The problem is probably the 8320, very very few games ultilize more than 50% of it for me, and DD is no exception.

Just reached gran Soren, changed my vocation and now I have all this new items with great stats to choose from, they have a little house icon, are these dlc stuff? If they are I don't want them

The house icon means they're in storage, which you can access from the inn keeper. Even if you don't want the armors, pick up the eternal ferrystone in storage.

Awesome. About damn time.

Had the same problem. Had to turn down distance scaling down to low to get a solid 60fps

Same GPU but OC'd to 1504/4000 runs mostly stable at 4k for me. Some drops in high overdraw and alpha situations though.

I have an OC'd 5820 i7 at 4.2ghz with fast-ish quad channel ram. I always use Nvidias soft vsync, though, so the drops rarely go below 50hz.

I've reached an awkward point where out of the 60 people in my list with pawns I have no one at my same level or 2 levels above at most, so I've been using same level random pawns from others with decent skills.

I don't wanna take an exp hit from using one of those high level pawns

Fighter vocation enemies are a goddamn menace. Striders and mages are pretty squishy, but all the fighters seem to have nigh unlimited HP. I'm fighting bandits east of the Witchwood on my way to someplace marked by the quest for an ancient tome, and I keep on dying near the end of the fight.

This seems more of an issue of you being under leveled than the fighters being OP. Unless you're playing on hard. Groups of bandits tend to have a strong fighter that is like a different tier in strength though. And sometimes they have more than 2.

In other areas all of the bandits are this tier or higher though. So not all bandits in every area are the same level

Question:

200 is the highest level, right?

Will I ever hit a point where I can unlock most, if not all of the abilities, core skills, and augments in order to mix and match them, or will I hit a point where I have no more points to allocate?

Also is there a way to respect / reset all of my points and reallocate them to certain abilities, core skills, and augments?

Those bandits near the large rock on the way to Witchwood are tough for early game. If you handle them, it's also easy to get cocky and try the next group down the hill towards to ruins... who are even more difficult

If you haven't upgraded your gear you're sure to have a bad time plus dying pawns everywhere

I'm level ~18ish. I thought I was properly leveled to do this, as the wiki mentions if I do one of the main story quests I have (the wyrm hunt) that certain sidequests might become unavailable.

Looking at the achievements now, it seems that somehow it didn't unlock It Begins (Completed the prologue) or A New Ally (Summoned your own pawn). A New Ally is fine since you can get quickly that on NG+, but if I remember right the prologue is skipped on NG+. Does it show on speedrun mode or Hard Mode when I do those? I could start a new game and reload my hard save afterwards (also backing up my save first), but if you do the prologue on one of those modes anyway I'll save the effort.

Finally started unlocking some new Warrior stuff last night. Was like 100 dcp short of Arc of Might...tonight for sure.

I think I'll be going Lunge/Arc/Exodus Slash, unless Arc ends up disappointing me and I stick with Lash. But for situations where I don't have time to charge up a big hit, it feels like Lunge does crazy good damage anyways. Exodus was carrying me hard in my brief forays into Bitterblack Isle, felt like nothing was safe from being knocked on its ass. Why even keep the dedicated juggle ability at this point when the 'escape' ability does it just as well.

Yes, when I first played the game on the PS3 i kept dying to the ruins group, then I lost access to the game. Yesterday, I finally beat the ones outside the ruins, took a long time used up my wakestone and almost all my healing items, but i beat them.

Vocations, core skills, augments are all bought with Discipline Points (DCP); which you earn from every bit of XP you gain. You can always earn more DCP, even after reaching lvl200.

There's no respec for DCP stuff, you're free to choose between anything you've already purchased by visiting the Gran Soren Inn, the guy at the Encampment, or Olra on BBI.

That quest becomes unavailable once you finish the story mission dealing with the wyrm hunt (aka once you go to meet the Duke). I failed it because of this I didn't realize it was tied to it.

I'd say go and do other side quests and level up a bit I remember being a bit higher in level when I did the bulk of wyrm hunt quests. Not that I had issues with it but by that time I was wrecking those thieves without issue when I went back to the witch wood occasionally

I was around the same level had a level 26 pawn mage, i went for the mage and striders first as they're the easiest for me to kill. Though, i do wonder if i'm underleveled for that area......

The fighter bandits will be the only ones that give you issues IMHO. Everything else around that area, including the witch wood, you shouldn't have issues with. Though definitely don't go too far away from the witch wood bandits/area cause if you go further you'll meet with a group of stronger bandits, and a roaming big baddie you should book it from.

I might be encountering a similar bug, but mine has a solution. One of my moves was a melee with a charge up on it. After charging, I hit the button again but it wouldn't launch the attack. Letting go of the modifier key (left ctrl in this case) let the attack loose.

Maybe try letting go of the bumper and seeing if the attack goes?

That's the first thing I tried. I really hope I can fix this...

Good to know. I wasn't worried so much about my stat gains due to switching to Mystic Knight ASAP, but I was worried about not being able to get DCP after 200.

Seems like I'm going to have a fun time with this game.

Is there a way to reenter the character creation tool without purchasing the item at the end of the game? Wanna make some changes to my Arisen and Pawn without starting all over or putting bags on their heads.

If you cancel the escort quests where you're escorting a single character, can the quest be picked up again later on? I noticed that I have accepted an escort quest, I cannot accept any additional quests from notice boards while the escort quest is active.

You don't have to fight the majority of those bandits to get to witch's wood. I did the quest at level 10. Just hug the left side of the area, right along the mountain and you can run last all the bandits.

Imo the quest design is poorly done. You have to purposefully go back to the starting town, interrupting a very forward flowing main question line, inquire with the chief, then run past bandits that are much too difficult for the early game (thus leading the player to believe they should not do the quest yet) or risk losing that quest line and area forever.

Not a big fan of it. I wouldn't have even known about it myself if I hadn't have stumbled across it on gaf.

Can I change heights or gender there? :D o_O

Nah, the barber shop is just for hair, voice, skin color, eye color, beards, eyebrows, and makeup. If you want to do full character creation, a shop-keeper near the rift stone in the encampment sells a single use item that will allow you to do that.
