Movement speed-wise, what is the fastest class? Assassin?
...Or would it be based on bodytype (I guess "super tall")?

Tallness only affects walking speed. Weight affects run speed. How much you're holding affects run speed. The warrior has a passive skill(that can be transferred to any class) that can increase your carrying capacity. The Assassin has a skill that speeds you up directly(the equivalent of haste, more than just movement speed) that cannot be transferred. The strider class has a transferable passive skill that decreases your weight class and increases your speed further(even if you're already in the lowest weight class).

The dagger-wielding classes also have a rolling ability that can be rather handy for getting around. Not as speedy as sprinting, but it doesn't consume stamina, so it's useful for covering distances while your stamina regenerates.

The fastest movement in the game is to use the biting wind dagger skill then use instant reset to cancel the recovery and repeat, but this uses stamina. If you were to speedrun the game (since there was armor you can get for beating the game fast enough), you would pop a liquid vim and get around like this. If you just want to run, the best way is just use Assassin and use gale harness to increase your movement speed and you run very fast.

Only problem with Gale Harness is that it almost takes a full 10 seconds to activate. It's damn useful in combat, though.

Does anyone have any idea where the save files are located? I'd like to make a copy of mine just in case and I can't find them anywhere.

Speaking as someone with a "press" copy the save files appear to be under the app number 367500 remote (basically I think this is a cloud save file, I think) in your Steam userdata file. Couldn't find it anywhere else.

IIRC Lightning Returns did this recently too.

Yea that was the most annoying thing about it, so I mostly used it right before I entered a fight and it lasts around a minute I think at the highest level. It's so awesome having basically every action be hasted though, one of my go to ways to chip away at the Ur-Dragon.

Calm down people. Still 4 days. Don't do this to yourselves.

*Goes and checks steam to see if it accidentally unlocked yet*

Your base speed depends on your physical build, as well as how much you are carrying on you. Assassin can get a skill that makes you move faster.

dig into ...appdata\roaming\steam

We got double jumps and pssh..Nothing... Personnel kid skills for days to zoom across the map.

Thanks for the info everyone. Strider or Assassin sound awesome.

I'm not looking to speedrun or anything... I just gotta go fast.

Ranger and Magic Archer are good too, I would choose either of those over Strider. Definitely max out Strider first for that leg-strength augment though!

I remember when this game came out for the previous console generation, I wanted it so much but I didn't own any console. I hoped they would port it to PC, I thought about it for weeks and months before finally giving up. To see this finally getting to PC makes me ecstatic, so much joy, I'll finally play it :')

Fuck, I told myself I wouldn't, but I just purchased this. I've never played it before, but it seems to be up my alley. Now to beat Hearts of Stone before Friday...

It's a great game and has some really tactile combat.

Also, the game's story (while not told in a really great way) is actually pretty unique and interesting.

Nothing like having a burly male pawn with the deepest voice possible exclaim "We've done it!" when finding a kid in a game of hide and seek.

Also, nothing like a burly male pawn with a high-pitched voice to add flavor to the combat.

And somehow, I always manage to recruit them.

hopefully someone mods fashion gear if it's not too difficult. Striders/light wear was ugly as fuck for the longest time. I want to look swag.
I've been looking at the armor... I'm going to have a potato sack on my head and I'll learn to like it.

I only wish the cloaks weren't so weak. They all look funny, not cool as a cloak should.

there was a point I was trying to gain affection with this lady merchant so I bought her rogue/cloak gear and i swear to god it was like this orange ass motherfucking outfit and I looked like a running cheetoh

DLGamer has the same offer atm, not sure when it expires though. As for europe, Gamesplanet also seems to have 25% off in case both of the previous ones stop working.

So shouldn't be much of an issue.

Also nothing like fireman carrying one of your pawns and throwing them into the ocean.

I mean, not that I've ever done that. That's actually pretty weird. Why would anyone do that.

Wow, I've never done that. And I certainly don't plan on doing it in the PC version. Especially not to burly male pawns with high-pitched voices.

Do we get to customize the pawns? Like looks, armor, weapons, skills etc or do we just pick them and they do their own thing?
You 100% customize your own pawn, but if you want to use more than 1 pawn you borrow either the stock ones provided by Capcom, or other player's pawns.
