Weapon stat question:
My pawn is a Strider who has two sets of daggers available:
Scalding Razors (2 stars)- Strength 268, Magick 385
Saurian Bane (3 stars)- Strength 304, Magick 161
Seems to me the Scalding Razors should be the ones to have equipped, right? The 385 magick comes from fire damage that they deal in addition to the 268 regular damage, right?
I'm just questioning it because those Saurian Bane daggers were DLC. You'd think DLC weapons would be top-tier but maybe not? I don't know.
Quick question: Some of my high-end gear isn't showing certain upgrade steps from Caxton? (Item is just ??? and so greyed out) Is this because I only gave him a Silver Idol or do I need to find a better NPC for upgrading?
Ha 360 is on gen 23? 24? Not that far in.
Nope. The current DLC weapons are geared more towards fighting specific monsters, rather than all monsters. You should see a specific bonus to fighting Saurians(guessing from the name of the daggers).
Have you tried dragonforging them? They might get a bigger than normal boost from that.
Arcteryx said:I'm pretty sure you need to encounter the item first, as I had this problem up to a certain point and then it suddenly went away in post-game.
I don't know what that means. I just met the Duke for the first time at lvl 29 today.
hahaha <BlueMoonTowerSpoilers>seems my salomet's grimoire forgery or whatever it's called came to bite me in the ass lol. "I have come to return the favor to you, ser! See if this Griffin likes my MAGICAL BOOK!" *casts* "Oh what the fuck it failed!? How can this be!? Not that I suspect you, Arisen, but..."
biggest lol i had all game
I'm doing all the npc quests in new game+, man I think I've missed every single one of them in my first game... I actually am enjoying the story quite a bit this time
Metal Golem, at night, enclosed in a lantern-drenching river valley, with a character who has neither ranged attacks nor a double-jump = well fuck you too, game.
I'm starting to understand the structure. Basically after every "Main Mission" quest you unlock new NPC stories. If you don't know what your "Main Mission" is you can look in the Chronicle. Escort quests to a certain region allow you to revisit old locations. I escorted someone from Gran Soren to Blood Water beach, on my way back I found missions in the Bandit hideout and back at Cassardis. So I use those to make a general sweep so to speak of the area. I have it down to a science, I hope I can get as much as I can. Start "Main Mission or End Main Mission" look at the notice board. Search Gran Soren, if nothing is there. Then revisit all other populated areas where you can engage NPCs.
Also using Clairvoyance on an leaping downward spear Suarian = God Like.
PSN is down! No Ur-Dragon for a while, or Pawn hiring.
if you were online before maintenance, everything is normal ur is 4 pips down...
JUST LIKE A DANGANNNNNNBUT THE SKY LOOKED THE SAME TO ME
I swear that stupid song never left my head since the game came out, they'll never top this in the sequel.
Is it easier than 63?!
You aught to find a balanced party.
Ought. But yes. I stopped caring about the actual fight when I realised it wasn't possible to win without strider/assassin/ranger (ranged magick doesn't seem to be working in the slightest).
80% of my frustration was just trying to find a way to walk away from the encounter. That river valley was trolling the shit out of me.

Yeah, that's pretty much it, I also missed a lot of notice board quests too since they refresh after each main quest
I switched from maxed out magic archer to ranger. I instantly went from god to noob. Is it worth the clawing back to the higher ranks with archer? I'm thinking of going to something like the magic warrior guy instead.
If you switch back to your old vocation, you get everything thing back as it was for free right?
My pawn is now a maxed sorcerer, jebus what a beast. We were fighting a bunch of the lizard guys and a chimera. It was a cluster %^&* due to my ranger weakness, but then she brought down the upgraded meteor storm spell and laid waste to everything, even the chimera was dead.
When do the dungeons respawn? I assume after so many days the beasts come back fully. I need one more troll.
My God, got to the post game last night & I haven't faced a challenge like this in quite a while. Dark Souls is a cake walk compared to what I experienced last night.
The captain that wants to dual you at the encampment was one shoting me with his 3 hit combo. After about a dozen times I decided to come back later.
I step out of the encampment, 7 foot zombies a small army of hell hounds & I was dead in 50 seconds. I literally could not use my curatives fast enough as my health was drain & the wolves were chewing on me.
I had to resort to teleporting to the capital as I could not make the trek on my own.
SoAlso why aren't any the locked gated doors opening after I fight the bosses in those rooms in Everfall?will the guards always be aggro towards me when I approach the castle after i fought with the duke, any quest to settle that?
How do you make weapons?
I also defeated the amber dragon by the shadow keep. I got nothing for it. ;(
post game spoilers
ok, I just beat the dragon (that black Chimera was a lot harder than the Dragon :0 ) and woah. So I'm right before that tentacle eye monster thing, I have a question, I had a few wakestones in my inventory, but the Inn is gone now, I can access the inventory when I get out of here right?
