I just got to the first real town. I'm playing as a Strider. Is this game super hard or am I missing something? I upgraded to Stilettos two stars and everything kicks my ass still while my party members are basically two shotting stuff.
So what is there to look forward to later on level-wise? I'm only level 40 and I've maxed out close to 3 classes.

Switching back to your old vocation retains everything you know up to that point. 100 kisses is goooooooood while clinging to weak points. Spam that shit.
Try resting for 3 days for big monsters.
Does anyone know if all the escort missions are required for the all preplanned quests trophy/achievement?
They aren't required. If you need a good checklist I used this to wrap up on my last playthrough http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=372407

Finally got all the chievos in this. Final stats were 133+ hours at level 82. Didn't realize your portal stones would carry over through playthroughs where you layed them. Anway, this game surprised the hell out of me. Can't wait to revisit it as a fresh level 1 sometime in the future. Not to sound like a broken record, but this is easily my GotY. Don't see anything remotely coming close to topping DD but I welcome it to try .
They do? I'm pretty sure I had to manually put them again in my second playthrough.Didn't realize your portal stones would carry over through playthroughs where you layed them.

My 7 foot tall hulked out Warrior pawn got around. Is your pawn a Strider? They don't seem to get much love.No sir, they remain where you put them. If you had to reset them you must have picked it up before you started NG+.
After restarting I'm lv.28 and no one wants to use my pawn because he's not a 3-foot-tall loli in a thong. No, I'm not bitter. Not bitter at all.
Big time. The Mystic Knight shield is a clipping nightmare.I really hate how all the good capes and cloaks clip through the Mystic Knight's shield. It keeps me from wanting to wear them despite the stats being better than my shawl thing I've got on him currently.
NG+ isn't any harder, if that has any impact on your choice.post game:I got 20 wakestones but also 0 money, and i need a weapon badly. I can't do anything to ur dragon, what's the best thing to do right now? ng+ would be interesting and i know you can fight ur dragon there, but is there anything i'd actually want from the everfall? Playing Mystic Knight and Assassin pretty much.

:lol someone's done a poor job raising his pawn.Warrior.
I...I don't need your approval!
PAIN
Thing is, you HAVE to kill the lich/wight first, those hounds will tear you up while the Chimeras help, and your pawns will die fast..if you reload your save you'll get the Drake from the woods instead..buy yah, that room is evil
couple of days ago i started hearing the bell sound at the innkeeper in soren. i didn't give him anything, it just happned. maybe i finished some collection quest for him or he is just happy to see a regular.

does anyone know what happens to portcrystals, when going into newgame++? do i have to gather and store them, or do they remain where i placed them?
Do people get any loot farming the Everfall? I've been doing it for 3 days and have only gotten consumables, plus I missed the ur-dragon kill window and got only consumables from that too
So last night save my game outside the chamber of hope and i'm feeling pretty slick, so far everfall has been pretty easy and i'm just about getting to grips with fighter class.
My roommate warns me this morning that there is a drake and some harpies, and at this point i'm thinking ha that will be easy ...
So I Load my file up confidently step through the door into the arena, first i see nothing, when from literally thin air a Chimera tackels me to the ground, i jump back up, thinking WFT! well chimera's kind of suck i'll just ...when i loose site of him only to get tackeled and pulled away by a hell hound, I struggle free only to get zapped by a linch, and then a freaking Gorechimera smashes me away all in the space of about 15 seconds.
Thats
1x Chimera
1x GoreChimera
1x Lich
4x hellHounds (that as far as i can tell just infinately respawn)
I got raped, with serval wake stones, i can take down the chimera no problem but the gorechimera keeps getting healed by lich, and the lich i cant even seem to hit as a fighter and the sheer chaose of the hell hounds this seems literally impossible at level 50, any tips or should i just bail out
Do you have the wyrm, wyvern and drakes tears? I got naff all from Everfall before I picked those up, since then I've got a bunch of awesome new gear.
-When do I take the quest from Mercedes? I heard one should not take the escort quest in the beginning of the game until doing all the side quests and I assume it's her.
-I'm always overburdened. I know that might sound weird but it's like no matter what I get rid of or sell, 5 minutes out of the gate I'm full again. Whats the secret? I keep crafting stuff but that doesnt really seem to help. I guess my real question is, what should I grab out in the field? Are berries and flowers worth it?
So far it's sorta fun, but i can totally see the potential.
Thanks!
You can take quests from Mercedes up until you defeat the hydra, then accept no more quests from her until you've finished up the job board stuff in The Encampment and Cassardis. Can someone else confirm this? Not 100%.
Distribute your items amongst your pawns if you're finding yourself constantly burdened. Regularly place gathered materials into storage as that's what's taking up most space I imagine. In terms of curatives like herbs and stuff, only take what you think you're going to need then stop collecting. You might want to see about upgrading your gear too as that will decrease their weight with each star added.
