I'd rate DD a 9/10. was engaging as hell. loved it.

Stupid Nebula Cloak is pissing me off. Been opening the same chest for 30min and have only pulled a 2% item once.

Lol, of course... I just got it.
Get the version that has the largest number of people on your friends list that have played or are playing Dragon's Dogma so that you can rent their pawns for free.

7.5/10 or 8/10. Good, solid game with too many annoyances to give it anything higher. Also has an incredibly boring story until the last 20% of the game. Truly fantastic combat though.
I think it's also a rare 2% drop from the Sulfur or Neo Saurians. Also, try completing the Duchess in Distress quest.

So, after a month since it's release, how and where does GAF place Dragon's Dogma, this generation?
I rate games extremely harder than the usual.
Why?
I don't know how some of you played this for 3 times, NG+ is very boring z_z . only need the 350 pieces of armor and weapon thing and then I'm done with this game forever
maxed out strider, fighter, assassin and ranger and rank-6 magic archer. I think I've seen enough. really enjoyed that first playthrough, nothing like it elsewhere. if only they could put more variety in the world, with different weathers etc, and more difficult monsters on the map it could have lasted a lot longer.
Ha, is that the Royal Guard armor?
How do you check how many hours you have spent playing? I know you can check how long someone else has been playing by looking at their pawn in owner info...but how do I check myself?
If there is no sequel to this game, it'll be a travesty.
Dragon's Dogma may have an underwhelming name, but damn if it isn't the most engrossing thing I've played in... years? Yes, maybe years.
My hands are painful claws as I type, so much have I been playing this game. I've got to be two or three dozen hours in, and I'm still discovering new techniques and seeing new things. The sense of exploration is pretty incredible, the pawn system is a revelation, and I'm having oh-so-much fun taking amazing photos!
Crazy thing is, I have a feeling there's so much more of the game yet to go. For which I am glad, because I'm enjoying nearly every minute of this.
Simply wonderful.

agreed 100%.
There really is no install for the PS3 version?
I read a comment on the DF analysis that said the game slowly installs iteself over the first few hours. Is this true? What does it say under game data for you ps3 players?

It is true. It's ~4GB
Weird how they still havent updated to account for that.
Did you notice an improvement in performance? Has anyone who is far into the game done a test where they deleted it and observed it until it hits that amount?
Is the strategy guide any good?
How do you solo peeps deal with Phantoms? Assuming no ability to enchant weapons or cast magic
This being capcom... whatever sequel we get (assuming we get one despite abysmal oversea sales) will probably be far different from what we got here. :/

A little? I'm not far in the game though. I thought it didn't have an install either but then I was really impressed to see that the game data had grown to 4+ gigs of data. I tried deleting it and sure enough on the next boot up it checks the available disk space to see how much it can install. It caps out at 4627 megs, I think. There's a little extra chug I guess, but really I'm not sure if you'd really notice it. Then again I bought a 7200RPM drive with a 32MB cache so I'm no totally sure how much of that is making of a difference.
If Lost planet can get sequels, this game sure as hell can.
I'm surprised LP2 is even getting a sequel after it flopped.
yuck, LP3 has been outsourced. let's enjoy one last good DD game then.
Don't speak such treachery >=[
Capcom themselves will develop DD2 (if there is one). Believe.
The performance on ps3 is fucking weeeeird, there are times where absolutely nothing is happening and it would feel laggy, as if there's a virus scan running in the background.
Set connectivity to offline in the options menu if you need to spam sleep. It's not autosaving, it's syncing or whatever with the servers.Autosave is the dumbest shit in this game. Stupid game wants to save every damn time I sleep at an inn. It takes forever when I spam sleep to get to the 7th day.
