Bought this game and the new Ghost Recon to cleanse my gaming palate after Diablo 3's disappointing server-based shenanigans, and I'm enjoying DD thus far. It can look pretty damn rough at times, but the gameplay makes up for it.

Hail, peons, for I have come as ambassador from the great and bountiful Blueberry Butt Explosion
Are you kiddng me, imagine if Diablo 3 started with this music. I would have tossed my PC out of the window. Thank god for the mute button, greatest invention ever.

Right. Because Dragon's Dogma and Diablo are totally going for the same thing.

Been playing for an hour. Love it.

I'm so happy that my demo character only needed a grand total of 3 tiny tweaks to be perfect for cutscenes.

Ya I have been championing that creator since the moment I saw it. You can do some amazing stuff. I had a character in mind and easily made him exactly like I wanted. It was almost surreal in how well it worked.

Can I re-edit my main pawns looks and details like height/weight (and mine) somehow in the game? Thinking to probably just start over, since it's still early in the game.

Can someone explain to me how changing Vocations works? Do I get my skill points refunded? Or are some skills cross applicable or something? Because I'm say a fighter, wouldn't I be crazy nerfed if I wanted to try out a mage?

EDIT: Also, is there anywhere that actually explains crafting? I'm clueless.

Is there a list of people wanting to trade pawns? I'm pretty sure none of my friends on my GT will be playing this.

lol @ the hairstyles dlc: "This bonus can only be applied once per saved data. If the items are discarded or given away during gameplay, they will be lost."

So....if you want to use those new hairs with other characters...gotta pony up another $1.99

Before I left for work I got to level 2. Am I supposed to apply points to things or something? If so, how do I do this. I didn't leave the first town yet so I'm not very far.

Damn it, I got bitten by the Konami/Capcom confusion bug and was looking for Castlevania names in the moniker roster.

You know whats funny? If you listen to the character creation theme a while, you can hear what sounds like a very small part of the MGS theme.

The "do doooo do do dooo do doooooooo" section with the piano.

Once per saved data. If you start over you'll have them again.

Finally got twitter to work, wouldn't stayed log on for some reason, or maybe I'm doing something wrong, what a pain in the ass!

Screenshot function is kind of weird since you're suppose to upload pictures of your pawn, but rarely you would get a chance to take pictures of both in battle.

Here's me and my pawn, still at the tutorial area, dat compression

lol at the title screen music! Man, I'm so glad I ignored almost all media related to this game because I was so surprised when I let the game sit on the title screen. That music...oh my! Probably the biggest gaming surprise/moment I've had so far this year, lol!
Ha...the intro music is kinda awesome.

This pretty much sums it up...

And it was awesome

Some reviews say that the 360 suffers more from framerate drops like IGN, but I'm reading that it actually runs better than the PS3 version aside from the tearing. Is this true?

So I'm guessing installing on the HDD makes the 360 the way to go?

Kind of insult to injury for me...

I had my PS3 and my X360 at my store because I haven't used them but for fighting games since Dark Souls came out. I was at home while one of my guys had the store open for a LAN session of Diablo and someone came in and robbed them. They took the 2 360s we had out and one PS3. Oddly enough, they left my PS3 there. It is the only fat in the store. I planned on getting DD for 360 but, well, it is gone now. I came in early today thinking "well I have my triple still, I will just get it for that". Guess what. They took the controller. The one that was sitting in front of the system lol

This game is amazing and I love it. I'm about 3 hours into it now. When I first played the demo I thought the pawn chatter might be annoying, but I actually like it now for some reason. Surfacing all of their AI "learning" to the player was a great idea, even if they kind of babble like idiots.

What's the significance of the OT quote? I just came across it in Storm of Swords, but it seems no more significant than any other phrase in the books. Is it a tagline from the TV adaptation?

Lots of buzz about how you shouldn't wander around at night in Dragon's Dogma. The quote fits the game.

Oh cool, then I take it, when you rest at an Inn or the like.. is the only time you get data and ratings on your pawn usage?

Yeah from what i've heard your pawn updates the information, items and ratings he/she received from other player's games once you rest at an inn.

You can talk to your pawns at inns and tell them to talk less.

So I only just got to the capital. didn't play much last night.

Having mixed emotions with the game so far. Pawn system is very strange, they seem awkwardly fit into the games world. The series of questions they ask you when you make one, and the way you change how they act is obtuse, I wish it was more straightforward with a gambit like system.

First escort-style mission took me forever, perhaps my fault for doing it at night. My pawn died several times (a Mage, I started as a Strider). Most enemies, even small ones, take a lot longer to kill than I thought they would (and I even bought new weapons fairly quickly), and are quick to aggro you from a distance. They are also very easy to scatter (they don't work together at all), oftentimes requiring you veer off the path to take the last one out, likely aggroing another group (maybe I should just run?).

I'm still planning on sinking in more time, but the encounters aren't as enjoyable as I hoped they would be. They feel too scattered.

You can make children as characters/pawns? ~__^
I love how they are making this demo that doesn't come out for 4 months into a selling point.

I really want this game but I've convinced myself to wait for a discount :( Sort of regretting it, but bah :/

I installed to the HDD, still have tearing. Changed to 720p, still have tearing. Oh wells.

I love it. What they say many times fits what is occuring. It givesit just one more thing that ISN'T like other RPG's.

How do I import my demo pawns into the full game? I'm actualy pretty happy with the way they ended looking in the demo and don't want to spend an hour making them again.

Music on character creation is godlike btw!

Man I am stoked to hear so many people like that character creation music. I thought I might be the only one.

God Tier.

So a couple of us have less tearing with 720p you still have tearing. Is it less?
I guess it shouldn't surprise me I have been saying for days its a technical nightmare. We need performance patches! Capcom get on it!
