We put up with enough shit on the radio as is.
it's going to completely ruin the song for me when I hear everyday at work

P.S. Buried Alive sounds pretty smooth as hell. I wonder what kanye is going to think of this album

ahh, his still going to be floating in it, so i don't really care.

would of been interesting to see how it would of sold, if it was kept tightly sealed like WTT, will still embarrassingly outsell it anyway im guessing.

Lord Knows is trending in the states, rightly so, my favorite track i've heard from this album

I really would like to preview some more tracks but leak finding skills suck ahahaha

well put...

He's saying a leak won't hurt his sales, he is right. So respects to Drake and the rest of the progressive artists out there that know unless you're hiding the only copy of your album in the castle you recorded it in, your album will inevitably leak early without your influence, and at the end of the day is not as detrimental to your sales as many would exaggerate.

The music industry's sales are WAY down so I would like to see facts that leaks don't damage sales..

It is mostly the industry's fault for trying to price the digital age like the analog age.. but leaks take away sales.. they just do..

Well, i will say this, it is much better than Watch The Throne. Drake>Kanye/Jay, never thought i would type that.

Gotta agree, a lot of great tracks.

BTW, Weezy finally dropped a hot verse on Hell Fuckin Ya Right

I'm just saying it's not the end of the world if shit does leak because it still ultimately comes down to so many other factors how much you sell, which is supported by the sales Wayne, the Throne, Ye, Nicki and whatnot are still able to accomplish. Many people, including me, use leaks to judge if a product is worth buying, and support the artists they feel are worth supporting. Sorry but I'm in the majority with this, and the industry is still far too slow at adjusting to this seemingly backwards way of doing business. Leaks are also a very easy scapegoat for artists for bad sales, IMO.

hahahaha

Real talk though, I know Canadian stations want to support our golden boy and all but you find 3 stations playing all the same songs far too often. I cant turn a corner without hearing Headlines. Heard Club Paradise once and I can't believe a second Drake song felt like a breath of fresh air.

WTT and Carter 4 didn't really have leaks..

Carter 4 sold like crazy maybe in part of that..

I think CRTC requires Canadian content every XX minutes or something like that. Just be glad we don't have to use Nickelback to fill that quota now.

Is this a troll or are you serious?

If so.. wow. The more you know.

drake just put kendrick lamar on in a major way.
I think putting Kendrick on his tour is going to do even bigger wonders.

I really don't believe leaks hurt sales. People who are going to but it are going to buy it regardless.

if you say so.. I hear logic like this all the time, but I don't agree with it.. once people have the album and in their ipods and what not why buy it? maybe if CDs were still the main media of choice you might people might want to inserts and real cd and what not.. but I can't see it these days and sales directly reflect that..

So it's suppose to be 17 tracks on the album? I'm seeing 16.

Anyways looking forward to this when it comes out.

Theres a LOT of backlash from "Real (wtf son?)" on this album. Everyones saying this shit was an R&B album and not a rap album.

Basically the same shit they said about 808s and Heartbreaks. Its alternative and there arent many Young Money features like everyone expected.

But guess what?

I love 808s and Heartbreaks. It's my favorite Kanye album

And I like Take Care. It's my favorite Drake album

Chalk it up to the recession? But it's all the kids I think. I don't know, I'm not even that old and I can see an increasing I don't know, "approval rate" you could call it for buying albums as I've grown older. Allowances go towards other shit nowadays for the kids.

To be clear, I think leaks affect sales, but the effect is very far from what it's billed as in the media.

Oh man, are we already beginning the 808s comparisons? I'm not sure if the stan in me is ready for this.

Argh, I saw someone complaining that Drake didnt even do a song with Tyga and Birdman on this one. WTF? You should be thanking him. I think I'm done reading forum member reviews on this album for a while.

I agree it doesn't end the world for the artist but just dismissing it also strikes as odd to me..

for me, I dl the leaks cuz I succumb to the hype and need the songs right away, but as soon as it drops on iTunes I'm all over it for the better quality/iTunes Match. know a lot of people who say fuck all to that, doe

That's the point..

First off this basically is an R&B album, but so was his first one. However, unlike the first one this is good R&B. One of my major problems with Drake has been his R&B was nowhere near as good as he seemed to think it was. In this one it really is great. He changes it up a lot and it all works. I really hope he keeps it in this lane.

Crew Love, Lord Knows and Take Care are amazing.

got up to the weekend track - good so far, just like his last album. looking forward to the tracks with stevie & 3k.

definitely this too.

listening now =D

i wasn't a huge fan of Thank Me Later, but I loved all of his mixtapes. let's hope this dethrones So Far Gone as my favourite work of his.

Liking this way more than I thought I would.

It's a lot like Thank Me Later, but the style he's going for works a lot better in this album. Only verses on the whole album I don't mind skipping are Nicki and Andre's.

Holy shit at Lord Knows, I'm not gonna hate like crazy here but I really wish a better rapper got on this beat. It deserves to be punished. Drake just bought it flowers or somethin

I'm liking Crew Love.

but yeah Lord Knows needs a remix like now.

haha, yeah, that was kinda my impression too. ross was as boring as he usually is for me too, this beat needed to go back for a jay electronica b-side or something.

..wait, so, stevie's just gonna play the harmonica? Q-tip at least let the dude sing, damn. i got all hyped there for a second, then nothing. i would bump a R&B collabo album with the man.

How the hell can you sample a remix? That's terrible. I really hope both Jamie XX and Gil Scott-Heron got breaded for that.
