Excuse my ignorance for a moment because I never seen front spoilers on a car before (I don't know if they are called that), but wouldn't that be distracting to a driver?

It's near the nose of the car, so they won't be distracting to the driver. You can see them in action here from the cockpit view

In Forza 5 they aren't visible from the cockpit view so they may not be here either. The car is the pagani huayra and the flaps are just above the front bumper so it really depends on how they set the dash view.

Now I'm trying to remember what game drove a Huayra last and if the front flaps were accurately modeled lol. Maybe Need for Speed Most Wanted and NFS Rivals (both were behind the car views, so I wouldn't have noticed them). Don't think I have the car in my collection in GT6, but now I am tempted to go check it out.

They work in GT6, but the seating view is low so you can't see the raise up from the cockpit view.
That is the best looking game I have ever seen!
pretty sure it hasn't been modeled before, kinda cool to see it though, not really a big deal though, similar to a wing on the back of a car

After playing it I agree with that poster. Cockpit view in Driveclub provides a sense of speed I have experienced in very few racers. It's like seeing real life Gopro footage.

Does Driveclub have a replay feature? I have seen plenty a gameplay footage but don't believe I've watched a reply.
That was my biggest complaint last year when they forst started showing it, no sense of speed, game looks fast!
Horizon did a great job of creating that with 30fps when it came out, this is a good read

It's just that seating position from the cockpit won't allow you to see them.
Care to elaborate further? How is this boring in any way? The cars exhibit an incredible sense of speed, the weather effects are sublime, and the handling is geared towards FUN and NOT simulation.

It's from an old video that one of Evo's UI designers released. But Rushy also said not to take what we saw in there as final. But it seems to at least show that they're looking into it.

There is no footage, but I do believe the feature is in there. I feel that all the b-roll/trailer footage was captured using replay mode

Well, it's Outrun with sim physics. But it's very much like Outrun. They even include an announcer. Here it is if you want to check it out

It really is a lot of fun.
Edit: The course in the video is the one that comes with the new patch. It's the longest course in GT history.
