I'd made a gif if I had time, but the motion blur when the maserati going fast still looks off to me. It looks much better in those previous gifs imo.

WTF...is it me or the game looks worse from the earlier gameplay videos? The IQ is worse than from what I remember. At one point they added some AA and now even that is gone. The road textures look worse. The environments look worse too. Only good part is lighting is still good. Is Evo trolling us??? Not like this ... not like this :/

PCARS will never match those environments, but it will still be strong competition, definitely.

The IQ looks pretty bad in those videos.
For me, IQ can make or break a game visually.
Everything else looks good (nice detail, lighting, shaders, car interiors) but it just looks so jaggy :\

Regardless of visuals, both games will play differently. PCARS is a sim. DC is not. So slightly different markets and they can co exist.

Becuase I was genuinely interested in this game as a launch game, one of the many reasons I pre ordered the ps4. It was to be my only next gen console. Then I started seeing all the hyperbole on here about drive club, and how crap forza is etc. Forza looks considerably better than this game IMO, and it was a launch title on inferior hardware. It touched a nerve reading all these negative comments, about that game, and how amazing Driveclub was going to be. Completely reminds me of the final fantasy vs Lost Odyssey crap back in the day. I'm probably angry at myself for falling for the hype again. This game looks good, at best. of course it is all my personal opinion. There's so many flaws imo and I admit I have expressed my annoyance with the people talking trash, and this game.
I think this game is too late to the party and not getting the hype people are saying. best looking racer ever? cmon GTFOH?? surely

Not impressed at all. The lighting/reflections are nice and all, but I'd rather have pre-baked lighting and 60fps.
A game is being promoted for its graphic fidelity. For the promotion of the game, a high-quality direct-capture of the game is promised for a certain date. The better part of a week passes, and what we get is video looking like this (for the record, this is the road surface when the motion blur kicked out for a second, but I'm using it as an example of how clear the image is or isn't):
People are reacting to what's seen in the video shown as indicative of their progress in making the game. Obviously it's still in development. You're off-base telling other people that they're in the wrong for reacting to press materials. If you find the conversation pointless, or you don't have interest in the game or genre, that's not a problem. That doesn't mean come into a discussion by those who do and criticize them.

I honestly am glad I can't look at these videos/play these games and just focus on some of the shit people here point out. I am extremely thankful of that fact.
Game looks gorgeous. Even after all the bad PR this is starting to look like a purchase as long as Morpheus support is decent (in the future) and THEY SUPPORT OLDER WHEELS.

I'm sorry guys, this is just not impressive, at all. I just downloaded it expecting something above average but it turns out to be an extremely poor showcase considering the delays and the push for 30fps.
For one, the all too distracting jaggies are abhorrent it actually hurts watching. Second, the gameplay seems.... choppy like mini-animations skipped akin to watching stop-motion with a bunch of incomplete animations. It's just so irritating to watch.
They really, really need to polish this game up because if this is what they're going to present to E3, I'd really be concerned. The only aspects that stood out where: The reflections, the 1080p IQ sharpness and the skyboxes, everything else falls short and nothing that is worth noting a 30fps "upgrade".

People are really putting this game down because of the lack of AA treatment? Thank god I know how to appreciate the entire art. The game is, arguably, very impressive visually.
Also, till its release I believe they will apply some AA there. But imho they do not even need it to convince me anymore.

The lighting alone in Driveclub looks FAR superior.
They're fairly low quality JPEG's. Probably less in file size than a good GIF. Having said that, if a few GIF's get posted on the page I'll just resize them all so they take up less bandwidth.

How do road textures look worse? Again, do you have any examples? They look the same as they were before to me.
And similarly, how do the environments look worse? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we haven't seen gameplay of these tracks before, so what are you comparing it to? We just got a trailer recently with a drop dead gorgeous shot of a mountain range above cloud cover, so I really doubt they've suddenly become worse.

It has much better AA now than the earlier footage. Like seriously much better. The rear end of the car as well as the stripes on the road were all jaggedy mess before, and now both look perfectly cleaned up.

Well compare them to the images from videos before they went on a black out, and it is obvious these look worse except maybe lighting but even that looked better in the older videos. Really disappointed by these latest videos. But here is hoping they really step up and polish it like they did with MS games by release time.

Some captures from the vid. Because of the compression and motion blur, it's hard to see much detail, but you can appreciate the realism, quality of lighting and reflections, and the overall environmental richness.
What's up with all the dithering in the motion blur?
You're comparing a sim racer at 60fps released at launch to an arcade/sim at 30 fps released a year later? Cool....that makes all the sense in the world.
