I've never increased speed after hitting a wall? Are you sure people aren't getting higher speeds going in to the corner because of not braking?

Thanks. I thought about buying it on release (and in retrospect I'm glad I didn't), but I'm not the biggest racing game fan. But for this price I think the game is worth it.

Agree, appart from the online that didn't work when it came out, and it made me really hate sony, the game is incredible, looks incredible and is addictive like crack!
It's slowly getting better and better!
Can't wait for the weather patch!!

This game is one of the most under rated games of the year. It's sad seeing people dismiss it or disregard user opinions because they can simply pull up 4/10 reviews to stay ignorant. I usually don't play racers for long yet two months after launch I'm still playing it very often despite having Smash Bros Wii U and LBP 3.

The online components of the game are only fully working as of about a week ago, and I think it was a good call not to release it until that stuff was fixed.
Not yet, I wonder if it will be a January PS+ game.

Lets just say its a lot better than it was. I do still get "cannot connect to servers" errors from time to time.

Totally agree. I've got all these games to play but all I want to do is play drive club lol.
I think, besides the awesome gameplay and visuals, what makes this game crack is the insane short loading times. And when U want to retry or restart a track, it's instantaneous!!! That's what makes this so addicting. Easy to say "just one more try" and before u know it it's been 3 hours.

Yeah the load times in general are amazing, but doing a retry is instantaneous. Makes it so much more addictive.

This is what I meant. Going into a corner with no braking and coming out much faster than if you werw to take the corner "properly". I didn't mean the literal of how I wrote it.

Why can't they release SP/offline mode as the PS+ edition. That will let players get the taste of it. They can patch online to it later when they fix that. I am baffled they have not done this yet. There is even a demo on kiosks. What the heck Evo/Sony??

Hopefully it's during a reasonable Australian hour and not ridiculous.
Because the online is an integral part of the addiction created in-game. If the PS+ version was cut back on two counts (both content AND online features) it would be more likely to push people away than pull them in.
So true the crew has the worst handling I've ever seen in a racer, his post contradicted each other.

The weather does look amazing and honestly put this game back on my radar.
I saw someone in the thread mention PGR. I have yet to try DriveClub but I am wondering how similar it is to PGR handling wise. I actually loved that series and it would make me way more hyped to hear that it plays in a similar fashion. Any opinions for people who tried both?

If you look at the bottom right of the windshield you will see the rain drops on it change direction as you turn/move around. Not just a static animation playing over the glass

Several PGR diehard fans (we were on the Bizarre Creations forums way way back) on here, Shaneus, Jamesways, myself, and a few others have considered this to be the PGR successor and replacement, if that says anything.
