Dying Light IOTI A dead island on the mirror's edge.

Loving this game so far, Great playground and I love how it turns the stakes up at night and turns into a risk/reward stealth game.

The slow mo executions are very satisfying.

About 15% in but I havent tried the coop yet. Might jump into that soon.

Is there an easier way to take out those brute assholes with the big hammer? At the moment I am dancing around them and slashing them a hundred times and it's a bit of a drag.

Also are some regular zombies tougher than others? I've come across a few that needed like 20 whacks to the head whilst on the ground. Others go down in 2 or 3

You'll get better weapons soon which take them out in 5 or so hits

This game is seriously one of the most fun experiences I've had this gen. It's a lot like Far Cry 4 in many ways and as much as I enjoyed that game (platted it) Dying Light is just so much more fun from a pure gameplay perspective imo.

I love the sense of rhythm and speed you get in the later game once you've upgraded your free running skills and mastered the controls.

Going out in the night with a bunch of people with the pure intent of screwing with volatiles also gets a huge kick out of me.

Why would you ignore the side quests when that is some of the games best content?
Or are you talking about things like challenges, escorts, and random encounters? The side quests tracked in the log have some great mini stories and mission design, on the whole better than the main storyline.

I like to save them for after. Side quests after story :p

Flammable liquid plus one Molotov kills them instantly

I like flammable liquid plus one burning throwing star, even works on the ones in fireman suits

Just unlocked Blast perk last night, apparently my version of Crane is quite proficient with the throwing stars.

I'm about to start Higher Education and and I think I'm going to try and burn through the story. I don't know why, but Old Town really sucked the life out of this game for me.

I don't get this, Old Town was more interesting for me, both in area design and quest design. Some quests area so great, magic fortress or fan zone..and the city is just beautiful.

I thought the exact same thing after leaving the slums. However after a good 10 or so hours with my trusty grappling hook the traversal around the many rooftops of old town became the best part of the game by far.

I'm just about to hit the 40 hour mark and I've only got the final mission plus one side quest to complete and what an enjoyable game it has been. Despite a bit of a nothing story-line the game-play has more than made up for it. Can't wait for new game + now.

Really really love the progression system in this game.

Did campaign online co-op and saved all the side quests for solo play :)

From my experience a lot of the coop credit goes to the host

Been doing missions during the night for the past few days and it makes the game so much better and exciting. The extra xp also makes it more rewarding. This game is just awesome, having a blast.

Looking for a group for the polyamory trophy. Seems every time I join a lobby someone leaves before the missions are done.

Hey, if you are interested, I would be down to do this in about an hour. I guess we need 2 more. I have 2 missions ready to turn in, so there are 2 of the 5. Do you have any to turn in? I was going to work on a few more missions in the next hour so we can turn them in and simply be done with them. Shouldn't take very long.

Anybody down to do these tonight around 11:30 to 12:00 ET or in about an hour from now?

I hit level 24 in combat, but parkour is lvl 21, and survivor is level 22 and they seem like they're moving soooo sloooowly.

Are you using the grapple a lot now? You lose the chance at a lot agility over time by not climbing things how you used to before getting it, now you can get to the top of any building and only get about 20 points.

I use it a fair amount. But it's not like combat where I can toss a firecracker and drop a molotov and see the XP fly, nor is it like turning in drops to the quartermaster and seeing the bar shoot across the screen.

Someone here said they would go on the bridge at night and just jump on zombies and get all their parkour XP that way, lol, I should try it.

Running from large groups of volatiles, obviously at night, racks up the agility as well.

Anyone ready to the the polyamory trophy right now ?

I got a bunch of quests that are ready to turn in or in the last phase.

I'm online right now.

Can anyone help me with the wrench trophy on the PS4? My user name is Mercenar1e

Been running around a while too, looking for a wrench.
I would recommend the School, there are zombies with low level weapons, including wrenches.
Even if the quests there are done you can enter the building again.

You can also find zombies with wrenches in the tunnel that leads to the antenna map.
