Hard to be pleased when you're pretty sure some monkeys just hit you in the head repeatedly with coconuts.

Yeah same. The curveballs are great. My better half immediately wanted it when she watched the demos going on, and it does indeed seem interesting.gerg said:I like how Nintendo once again confuses the entire industry.
So you thought Sony was an A+ too? lollightless_shado said:A+
+New console
+Huge 3rd party support
+3DS sweetness
+The wii u controller may be compatible with the wii
-No Wii stuff
Overall I'd say they had the best conference. Its a given if you have a new console to announce.
PC gaming always wins, fool.vitaflo said:Looks like the winner of E3 is PC gaming. Consoles look creatively bankrupt in comparison.

They will reveal the games next E3
Yes really. And who gives two shits if it's a new IP? It's just as good to do new things with established IPs.Persona7 said:Not really? They basically showed the same games we have been playing for 20 years.
I do not think there was a single new IP in the entire conference.
What are you joking? They showed plenty of things for 3DS.heyf00L said:So no one remember's E3 2010's 3DS reveal? This is exactly like that. They didn't show much then. We're several months away from WiiU.
Wazzim said:1st time a company didn't even show the console at a console reveal. Only the UPad...wtf Nintendo.
LCGeek said:Trolls are getting scared. Savor it while you can the fact EA is even suggesting battlefield is coming is more than enough to show me nintendo is brining some beef to the table. Controller haters you knew it was coming and glad to see your took of your masks so we can see where you at.
Sony already has that with the Vita and ps3/4 interaction.ScrabbleDude said:So, next gen every system is going to end up with tablet interfaces considering the industry's uncanny ability to follow Nintendo. Should be interesting.
Bu-but PC gaming is dead!vitaflo said:Looks like the winner of E3 is PC gaming. Consoles look creatively bankrupt in comparison.

whats here to please us, how many reasons have you got to go and buy this if you have a 360 or a ps3 at the momentCrunchyFrog said:Lesson from this thread, some people are impossible to please.
siddx said:Oh gaf, never change. Conference was exactly what I expected, explained what the Wii U did, a few games announced, confirmed increased third party support. Anyone expecting more than that is delusional.
They released a console in 2006 to play games that run on a 2000 console.GitarooMan said:The confusion is WTF is the point of releasing a console in 2012 to play games that run on a 2005 console.
It's a rational point too. I love Nintendo too but this was a major letdown. Who can say they won E3 with this kind of showing?Heavy said:You summed it up pretty well. Mind boggles...
Look at the junior being all wrong. Of course its not dead on arrival, if it will be the new Nintendo console to rpelace the Wii it will survive based purely on Nintendo first-party games. If it can release with a bunch of older third-party games ánd new games will be released simultaniously on 360/PS3 and WII U it will be a winner for a lot of people.royalan said:I'm sure someone's said it, but the release of the WiiU seems a ways of. Definitely not this year. Well, if that's the case, why showcase 3rd party games that are coming out for the PS360 this year/early next year!? It doesn't make a shred a sense.
Basically, if you have a PS3 or 360, Nintendo gave you absolutely no reason to buy the WiiU. And only time will tell how Nintendo markets this to casuals (many of whom already have smartphones and ipads, and more will have them by next holiday season), but I don't see them jumping on this, either.
Calling it now: The WiiU is dead on arrival.

It is wii with a peripheral controller and outdated graphics.BGBW said:What is so confusing? It's a new system with a new controller. That's it.
It's not a Wii add-on, it's not just a Wii HD.
Guess some people think the 3DS in just another DS iteration.
