It doesn't matter since Switch is still the king of hardware in France, while PS5 is trailing behind PS4 launch aligned.

LTD
Switch - 8.7m
PS4 - 6m
PS5 - 3.3m
This can't be true, France is Sony land.

Where are those numbers from, BTW? I didn't think they shared that info. I hope it isn't VGChartz.

Meanwhile in Nintendo HQ

"We could have gone to €£$90 per game!!!"
Meanwhile at Sony and Microsoft HQ:

''All our effort to collapse the Switch 2 by paying third parties to announce nothing for Switch 2, and still they blew us out of the waters, how is this possible?''.

Mario Kart World wouldn't sell systems, they said.
People normally gets their console with a game.

Having a 95% attach rate shows that most owners think it's the only interesting game. Meaning, it highlights that the launch lineup is abysmal outside this game.

Third parties skip Nintendo because their sales on Nintendo devices are abysmal, part because their hardware is too underpowered compared to the other ones, often to the point of now being able to run -at least decently- their recent top AAA games.

No need to be paid to skip Nintendo, they do it because want to run a profitable business.

It wasn't supply constrained?
PS5 was heavily supply constrained due to covid lockdowns related issues combined with component providers being saturated by GPU sales from people farming virtual currencies plus EV tech.

Switch 2 didn't at all, in fact they produced more units than usual before launch to have the biggest launch possible avoiding supply constrains.

Wait until the official global sales announcement… Is going to be EPIC.
This is selling tonnes and will be biggest selling console launch ever. But don't worry some on here will cope by suggesting the PS5 would have sold more if only it had been available at launch. lol ;)

Comparison is with the launch numbers.

If the supply for any console was unlimited and the same across the board it would be a fair comparison.

A record breaking launch is enough for a headline, it doesn't need be compared with something which was sold out and unavailable for months if not years.
LEAVE THE BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION ALONE!

Sony dreams about the day they can release a game that sells 70 million copies, like MK8 did.

Looks like $80 was not the ceiling lol....
I wonder how long it will take for MK World to outsell any game Sony has ever made? My guess is that it won't take that long. Not hard to dominate third party consoles people buy to play Madden with low first party sales.

If you count bundled copies like in MK8, Astro's Playroom has over 75M.

And well, having the game sales of the console focused on a few games as in Nintendo means its library is poor and lacks most of the best selling, top played games in many genres.

Destroying ps5 at sony land.
Good job Nintendo and Switch 2
France isn't Sony land, traditionally has been a more pro-Nintendo market. And isn't destroying anything.
In fact, I don't know if we already have oficial data about the Switch 2 sales in France.

How is it possible that Nintendo earned more profits from the 8 year Switch era than Sony earned from Playstation in 30 years? What is Sony doing really? Seems to have incredible bad leads in the Playstation division. Why put in expensive specs that makes them earn less in 30 years than Nintendo in 8 years? Are they stupid or something? Gaming is about making money for companies, not to have console warriors in basements debate about which specs are better, and they are losing money by putting in better specs than Nintendo.
