Rockband did that with your custom musicians. You'd send your characters over to them and they'd print them out as a statuette. I don't see the custom Mii Amiibo happening any time soon.

Ugh, Splatoons aiming is gyro but the camera is on the analog? It's not a horrible control scheme and since it doesn't look like something that needs aiming precision it might be okay but still a bummer.

No, they already said you can use gyro or the right stick.

This game looks awesome though!

Nintendo's doing exactly what I had hoped they would do: They know they've got games that look fun, so they just need to get people looking at them. This Treehouse stream is perfect for that. Hopefully they won't stop doing this sort of thing after E3 is over.

That's what I was wondering, but then I just thought "hey, they're squids who turn into people, how does gender work into any of that" and then got sad about Mother 3 some more.

Looks like so much fun. I love the stage for it as well with all the colors... so cool! It just does not look like a Nintendo game, which is awesome. I wish they would release it right now with 2-3 maps and release DLC every month.

The art style could use some work if they want the game to be a big hit. I think a lot of teens/adults will be too self -conscious to play this game with friends. Less pastel colors would be good.

So you want to take a new vibrant game and turn it back into a brown shooter. Riiiiight.

I so badly want an Amiibo of my Mii. Odds of that happening?

Yeah it's doable, and would be great for smash brothers for the stat tracking, or any other future game that supports Mii's.

Interesting thing is, 3d printing is pretty easy, and there are services out there that will do such things, embedding the NFC in the base would be an easy thing to add I'm sure.

Probably not well known, but UFG actually planned for such a service for Mod Nation Racers for PS3, it had an avatar creator, and they planned on allowing players to get the printed avatars sent to players as a service. They even did a trial run for media, when they did the first looks, the avatars the media created, were printed and given to the media the shortly after the event...

I think it'd be a great idea for Nintendo to do, imagine all the extra revenue they could generate, and it's not just a dumb toy, it would store any mii stats, and lots of games support Mii's already!
