E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

Same as yesterday. If this actually makes it into a real game, it might make for a decent eshop title or part of a mini-game collection. Can't see myself paying full retail price for something like this for fear of it becoming monotonous eventually.

You know it's not even a game, right? It's a gameplay concept that they only showed off at E3 to demonstrate, "Hey, look, Miyamoto is doing things that incorporate the GamePad, we promise!" It's years away from any kind of actual retail release. It's even been said that it might get folded into the new Star Fox game.

The criticism still stands - The art style leaves to be desired and the controls look clunky. Nonetheless, it's a Miyamoto project, it's bound to be good in the end but hopefully they make the necessary adjustments.

If this doesn't get put into another franchise, and releases as a more polished version of its current state, it NEEDS, NEEDS deal GamePad support for drunken robot boxing against friends.

I love how competitive Nate is. He's so bitter he died so early. And earlier after getting stomped by the smashers, he was really holding some sour grapes.

The criticism is ridiculous at this stage though. The art style leaves to be desired? Art is the LAST thing Nintendo focuses on in their games and that has ALWAYS been the case. It's concept, execution, and then the final layer of making it look good. There is no "art style" at this point because it is purely a conceptual demo. Be glad they're not just wireframes. It's amazing that they are even showing it off, it's at such an early stage. You're talking like it's going to release in the next 6 months. It might never be seen again after this E3.
