Yeah they did that same for FIFA 14/15/18/19 and maybe more on various platforms. Vita, Wii, PS3, 360 etc.

If the platform doesn't sell titles much they just stop dev and update the players and call it Legacy Edition.

I don't see the big deal. As you show, they're upfront about it, and they price is cheaper. They aren't trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

So if you don't have a Switch yet or maybe don't have a FIFA game yet you can get the latest edition with latest stadiums, kits and players.

If you have FIFA 20 on Switch, yeah, don't buy it. Alternative is no game at all so nothing changes there.

1. Mario 64 didn't exist on Switch before, whereas EA keeps releasing the same Switch game with a new player file (the sort people do for free with 2K5, old Maddens, NCAA Football, etc.)
2. Mario 64 is not full price.
3. Mario 64 is a good game. I guess they could just copy and paste this review and lower the score to, I don't know, 9.7.
