I've fallen so far behind on CBB recently. I have so many to get through. I might start skipping ones I don't care about the guests for, but I'm worried I'll miss a classic. Hm.

There haven't been an awful lot of classics lately. Definitely catch the ep with all of the Silicon Valley dudes. That one is phenomenal. I had no idea Thomas Middleditch was such a good improviser.

All types.

I listen to a bunch of stuff from NPR. Fresh Air, Diane Rehm, On Point, On the Media, Planet Money, etc. As for non-Earwolf comedy stuff, Superego, Dead Authors Podcast and Call Chelsea Peretti are a few of my faves.

6th anniversary was great. First off, Neil Campbell is one of the most underrated CBB guests. He has amazing lines and ridiculous characters. Plus he is really great at working with other guests. Also, I was shocked Brad Hammerstone worked a second time. I thought he was a one trick character and would not work without the duck reveal. However, his whole Scrooge McDuck bit was awesome. I especially loved how long it took Scott to realize what was going on.

HH was also very good today. The ad readings were great and it was hilarious to have a guest play the straight man to Sean and Hayes, which we haven't gotten in a little while. Also, I need more Verbatim Vic in my life.

brad hammerstone was incredible yeah. Especially how long it took Scott to get who he was specifically.

HH is weird this week! I like the ad bit throughout the Neil Casey interview but the earlier ones were just straight-up "normal" ads. rather than get a pre-guest segment there are just two ads, so odd. The joke ones are fantastic though, the ad for mice lmao edit: "You may want to mention that Pauly Shore called me a homo on this very podcast and that if they wanted to come in they could do the same!"

thinking on it more, Timekeeper might be the best Campbell character (solo; doesn't beat Bachelor Brothers baby). so stupidly funny, made better by how much scott shits on it.
I need Lauren Lapkus's career to blow up like right now. Can we do that Hollywood? Thank you!

Jurassic World's only a month away. Then the TV show Lapkus is on just needs to be as big as Seinfeld, easy enough, and she'll be perfectly in the groove of the Wayne Knight career track

CBB 6 year is great. Probably one of my favorites so far. Timekeeper was hilarious.

Anyone listen to Who Charted? I love Howard but his sit in for this week was awesome. Armen something or other.

If you love today's episode you should listen to the episodes where he was sitting for Howard when he was on tour (Ep179 to Ep182). You should listen to all of them for the build up but at the very least listen to Ep182 with Matt Besser.

Ep174 of i4h is basically a follow up to that episode as well. Armen is always a treat.

Yeah time keeper might be my new favorite character lol

CBB 6th was really great. Ho-Ho is a surprisingly solid character for Lauren and it made me want to replay that CBB with the IndieGoGo dude.

Is Wompcast not every week?

Must be every other week.

I wonder when they recorded them. They've repeatedly referenced "homecoming," which is generally a fall event. But it's the Wacky Wompsters World, so who the fuck knows?

I think St. Clair explicitly said "Its 2014" in the the first episode, and it didn't sound like a "we're establishing a time line" sort of comment.

Sweet, thanks.

I dont get to listen to Who Charted and i4h as often as I like but I'll definitely check those out.

Didn't they also talk in the Womp It Up premiere about how they'd do their "senior project" sporadically and who knew when the next one would come out? I took that seriously and assumed it'll be a show that they do whenever they can, irregularly

Fantastical

Death Prophet
Laughed so hard on Womp It Up when Little Nicky was rapping and then all the sudden revealed his friend died in a car crash he was in. It took Jess and Lenn by surprise.

Anyone else listen to Read Aloud and kind of dislike the turn to more long interviews? Really been bummed by the last couple episodes with them, they've mostly just been uninteresting. The only ones that seemed interesting at all was the rare book dealer and the auther of the short story with the father taking his son's girlfriend home. After that it's all kind of gone down hill.

I'm not a regular Who Charted listener but I saw this week's Two Charted had Armen and Kulap talking Harris most of the ep. Armen is very spacy and inarticulate as always--even if that usually bugs you (as it does for some) it's fitting here and his attempts to explain what he's feeling are very genuine.

All caught up again on HH. The episode last week with the guys from Hollywood Florida was great. That might've been my favorite one so far. I particularly lost it when Hayes showed them the picture of Anne Hathaway's "fangers".

This weeks ep was a little weird. I assume they're friends with that guy since they've worked on writing jobs together in the past so maybe he got too comfortable or they appreciate and recognize a character he was going for but it didn't come across well. The best part was hearing the ads. Also, I love when Sean uses gratuitous cursing and it catches Hayes off guard.

CBB was good this week, always love me some Andy Daly. But man, I think I have been spoiled with the Daly/Zouks combo. While I think Richter was fun, Daly and Jason just bring out the best in each other and are so next level. I hope those two do more episode with each other soon, although I can imagine they need a break after the craziness of last year's episodes.

However, the best part may have been the ad readings. Sean and Hayes play off of Scott so well. Also this week's HH was awesome. Curses to whatever show forced HH to skip their first segment. However, Kroll was a perfect guest for HH and played along with Sean and Hayes's insanity well. I loved when Kroll just flat out asked them what do they do and then them trying to explain Baby Grandpa to him.

Also it seems like next week is finally when Sean and Hayes get on CBB. That better happen. I'm so excited to hear that.

The newest ep of HH is way too short. It was just starting to heat up when they had to end it. I loved how they kept asking him to speak on stuff. Kroll has to be one of the best improvisers - he never seems to get rattled by anything.

I feel bad for Comedy Bang Bang listeners that don't like Hollywood Handbook. Those two ads were great, but looooooong. Really tough to put two really long ads on the first break.

Kroll was great. My only problem was that the first 11 minutes of the episodes are basically ads.

HH and CBB should do a show where both shows record in the same studio at the same time. They aren't doing a joint show. They're both attempting to record their own ep and hijinks ensue.

It's just a bummer that they don't do an intro segment or popcorn gallery. The convo segment is killer though, true. They just keep stacking on layers, it's great
