not knowing Green from anything but Road Trip, he's...not funny? It's odd, he's kinda not even trying to be funny. him talking about being a techie and believing the web is the future and repeatedly saying "webovision" as if television-like things being on the internet is a unique thing in 2015 is somehow not a bit?

What he did in the mid 90s was kind of mind blowing at the time because it was well before YouTube obviously and nobody acted crazy like that on tv yet. I'm not sure back then he was even that funny so much as fascinating.

I really enjoyed the debut ep of Womp It Up.

I know some people have gotten tired of Wompsters Inc. and Listler, but I always find St. Clair and Parham hilarious.

Same. I hope this means they'll be on improv4humans more. I'd love a i4h with St. Clair without Jason or Lennon. Love Lennon and Jason, but I want to see what she's like without them. :p

Yeah he sounded so much like "old guy trying to be hip" that I almost thought it was a bit so I had to go look it up. Webovision is a very real thing. Can't possibly imagine who the audience for that thing is.

Tom Green was okay, but it slowly just grew boring and hard to listen to. The dog bit (real or not) basically killed the episode and he kept stepping on Mary & Erin's improv. He was too much of a stand-up being interviewed.

I think the part where Erin said something like "Let me float an idea...", Tom butts in with something else, and Erin replies "Or not." pretty much summed it up.

And I don't think I needed to hear more of Trabitha, but if that means more Mary Holland on CBB with that character, I don't care :p. The part where she starts gnawing at a dead grandma's nipple was hilarious.

I'm tired of Wompler and the crew (though I still enjoy Listler's stories) but yea, St. Clair and Parham are great. The i4h episode with them and Mantzoukas is a must listen.

I went on an earwolf wolfpop podcast on saturday. I talked about dating as a guy on tinder lol. If you want to hear me make an ass of myself the episode comes out tomorrow

The Podcast was OMFG. Should be funny, was fun being on since Im such a podcast junkie.

Those I4H 4/20 eps always blow my mind. On last years I considered not listening because I thought it would just be a mess but the weed seems to aid improv. I suppose I base that all on the one Doug Loves Movies where Benson got high and it was so terrible he disowned the episode.

I don't know if it's because these are all guys who can handle their weed, because they aren't doing it in front of an audience, because they are all such good friends and seasoned vets, or a combination of each that makes the 4/20 eps so damn good.

Edit: They have such a unique and faster beat to them than the other eps.

Edit2: Ahaha, And there is a great weed lapse from Seth Morris and Gemberling. I'm not high, I just love these eps.

Edit 3: Bikini Squad! Holy shit, fourth wall devastating. I love these eps. I am not high.

Yep, it was another great 420 episode. The fourth wall breaking was incredible.

will listen to new cbb tonight

I re-listened to some old UTU2TM yesterday (specifically staind glass and spidey) and man I need a new one already

"With Special Guest" was tough to listen to this week. Some of these podcast ideas are more funny as a concept then they're actually funny to listen to. A guy with a window podcast sounds funny, but man it was tough to listen to.

I still have WSGLL on my Pocket Casts list, but I don't listen to it regularly anymore. Which kills me because I love Lapkus.

Ultimately, I think the concept just doesn't work. It puts too much responsibility on the "host" and too few of the people that Lapkus gets are capable of carrying an hour-long podcast episode.

I think this week's was just a bad idea in general. I like Wengert but I have no idea how he thought he could make a podcast about windows last that long. I mean I get that it isn't really about windows it's the characters but... Ehhh

I deleted WSGLL off my phone the other day. It just never worked for me, even when she had "guests" on that I thought would be good. The only bit I enjoyed was James Adomian doing Tom Leykis solo, which was pretty incredible to be fair.

Jon Gabrus is on Hollywood Handbook this week! Love that dude.

Spontaneanation continues to be spectacular.

Among other things, I love Janet Varney's laughs in the background during PFT's opening monologues. They're almost as good as PFT's laughs during CBB.

Good lord at Sean's Chappie story today edit: Oh my god the customer service call.

The WSGLL with the NBA on NPR was real funny, but the one before with Allynne was bad. Haven't caught up on this week, but it definitely is a 50/50 good podcast at best

All of them laughing through Lynskey's story about Tieme (Kangaroo) Downsport killed me. Varney's AI this week was classic too, made me regret not listening to the JV club as often as I should because the few eps I've heard are nice.

Man, Tom Green was...ehhh. I agree with whoever said that he brought the show to a screeching halt with his bad news. Scott tried to lighten the mood but you could tell that they were just a little off from that point on. What made him think it was a good idea to bring that up?

Sucks too because Mary Holland and Erin Whitehall are consistently great and I liked what they had but it really felt like they suffered because of Tom.

Holy crap I'm in tears at the end of this hollywood handbook. Jon gabrus is too fucking funny.

Gabrus killed in this episode. It was awesome that Sean and Hayes just let him go off and really facilitated the insanity. It was amazing. Possibly best HH episode this year.

From when I got to go to the wolfpop studio for OMFG.

Anyone catch the WOLFCOOL tag at the end of HH a week or two back? I'm waiting for the Hollywood Handbook Cinematic Universe to converge.

Wolfpop's The Black List Table Reads is turning out to be pretty great. They're on part 2 (out of 4) of the infamously unshootable script "Balls Out" [PDF], which was written anonymously during a writers' strike. It's being voiced by Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas, Lauren Lapkus, Matt Walsh, Eugene Cordero, Casey Wilson, Chris Cox, Joe Wengert, and Craig Mazin. Of course, my man Zouks is stealing the show so far.

Just listened to the Mary Holland ep of HH. Her part started off slow but she really got into it as the show progressed and it was hilarious by the end. I was laughing out loud every time she made her horny noises "oh noooooooooooo!"

Oh shit - I heard about this on the last HDTGM and forgot I wanted to check it out. Thanks for the reminder.

Spontaneanation has seriously been great

tho to be fair I could listen to a whole podcast with just the piano background and PFT rambling in the intro. best part of the whole thing

same thing happens to me with hollywood handbook tbh

I only listened to the first segment of the ep so far but I forgot how much I like Cameron Esposito. She and Scott have pretty great chemistry and she seems game for whatever. Fun guest.

I'm almost through the first ep and I love it. I might even start a standalone thread for it. It's a cool concept and it seems like it's something that could potentially take off in popularity.

EDIT: I went ahead and started a thread for it.

how did this get made is coming off as really short lately

they barely scratched the surface of Con Air. Ep could have been 2 more hours long.

The two most recent live eps have proven to me that the show is not worth doing if June is not able to appear in some capacity. Even over a shitty Skype connection, she's brilliant. I've missed her so much, and hope all is well with her and the baby.

They really need to cut down on the frequency of the live eps. They have their endearing qualities - Zouks harassing audience members is always a treat - but they should be an occasional thing. Maybe a few a year. Otherwise, they just get kind of annoying.

This may be off base, but I kind of get the feeling that the live shows are the things motivating the regulars to keep doing this podcast. Kind of what it feels like to me, but I could be completely wrong.

I agree though. I hope June is back in the next one. I mean, just listen to the Zardoz episode she did with her and Paul. BONKERS
