Oh shit, a Gino and Victor/Tiny episode? I take back everything negative I said about CBB this year. Gino is the secret best CBB co-host.

Tiny and Victor continue to have some amazing episodes. Everyone was fantastic this week! I love when Victor sticks up for Tiny.

I've discovered the Cracked podcast is sooo much better if you skip the intros/outros. The host guy just rambles on an on and goes into one tangent after another, especially during the intros. I often lose track of what he's talking about. Their main discussions are usually great though.

The actual improv varies moment to moment, but the monologue/dialogue sections of both Spontaneanaton killed me. Today's with Exchange City and the chemical fire dance/shoulder dislocation especially

Liked the second episode of Spontaneonation more than the first, which has me really excited. More laugh-out-loud moments in this one, and Marc Evan Jackson is always a low-key delight. Way to go, PFT.

Just started listening to the new Spontaneanation and so far the interview is hilarious.

I also apparently need to go back and listen to old Superego episodes. I grabbed one episode to check it out for a 24 hour drive and ended up loving it.

"There will be little to no biting. I won't say none. I've been there, it does come up."

This episode is great. I liked the first one, but this is easily way better.

Great day of podcasts, both CBB and Spontaneanation were hilarious.

By time it got to an hour and a half in of CBB and the date story is still going I was near tears.

Look Victor and Tiny were incredible as always, Alicia was funny and game, Gino's mom being named Gina Lombordo-Lombardo Sr. is fantastic. but I want to give a special shout out to Scott knowing that there are only three members of Ben Folds Five and knowing the names of the two non-Benmembers.

Finally listened to the first two episodes of Spontaneanation. I really liked them. From Paul F.'s aimless drivel at the beginning, to the interview and the weird improv....

Not feeling this episode. Jharles and Scott interacting was probably better than most the episode. Not even particularly Horatio, it just seemed like it was mad libs and then banter on some funny made up word afterword.

He's the new, much worse, PFT. Scott seems to love him though weirdly. The only times you see Scott break on the TV show are when Horatio Sanz is on.
I think someone else in this thread called him "a comedians comedian". I think that's a nice way to put it.

Personally, I think there needs to be a rule stating that Horatio can only be on cbb if Benny Schwaz is present

To be honest, this was one of Horatio's better CBB appearances.

He's tolerable if he's playing himself because it's harder for him to fuck up and fall out of character.

Still, his funniest moment was being made fun of for being unfunny lol

Bitsy was okay, chung was good the half of the time she was trying and Hansen was right on Scott's wavelength. Funniest part was Scott interviewing the two in the beginning. that and Jarles.

Holy crap. There was video of the Whiplash episode. He just mentioned it at the end of the recent ep.

You can watch Besser actually yell at Armen!

Man, Horatio hate is as strange to me as The Dark Knight Rises hate that GAF has. It seems to be a localized on this forum, too. It never made sense to fault him for not knowing his characters Zodiac sign or what he had for breakfast. What kind of improv values that?

I don't dislike him as much as others but it's not lack of specifics that makes his characters annoying. It's that they don't really seem to be characters in the first place. They all follow similar blueprints, don't have very distinct voices, and he frequently breaks them for no good reason. Which is why him playing himself would work better--even then more sparingly, the guy doesn't need to be on twice a month.

(Also weird TDKR comparison as that movies detractors are not even CLOSE to being limited to gaf lmao. Most people I know in real life don't enjoy it very much)

Best earwolf podcast this year.

Agreed. I've already listened to it so many times. When I was just listening to it I had no idea Besser threw water on Armen.

Paul Rust is a fucking genius. "The Animation Domination going on in Armen's head right now" and I loved the exchange between Neil and Mookie
"Do you think my dad's fat"
"... yeah probably"

Damn I'm really loving Superego so far.

Dom Dimello substitute teaching a music class was awesome and is more of what I want from the characters from CBB.

Also the sudden outburst of "I said when not where you dizzy bitch!" made me burst out laughing while walking down the aisle of my quiet office. I got some weird stares.

Just found out about Spontaneanation from listening to How Did This Get Made. Oh my god, this is hilarious. Episode 1 was amazing, but the second blew it out of the water.

On the topic of HDTGM, the new theme song remix is awful.

Speaking of Andy Daly and non-Earwolf podcasts, the newest ep of the Dead Authors Podcast features Daly as L. Ron Hubbard.
It was as hilarious and as amazing as I'd hoped it would be, the logical loopholes and tall tales were spot on. Can't wait for Part 2.

Newest Speakeasy is PFT and Daly as well. Great to hear them shoot the shit without the character stuff.

I like the actual sound and lyrics but the audo quality is just too bad.

WOMP UP THE JAMZ!

Mondays are getting pretty crowded, what with the addition of Spontaneanation and Womp It Up.

Tom Green (ugh) is on CBB, so that will be third in the Monday listening queue this week.

Yea this cbb hasn't been that great so far. Dunno if I'm going to finish it. Tom green plugs his web show for what feels like an eternity

I never enjoy it when Scott brings on tired, irrelevant comedians who have no business being on something as popular as CBB. Like when Jay Mohr was on it a couple of years ago.

I think these people ask to be on it (I know Jay Mohr did) and Scott is too nice to turn them down.

Yeah I'm not feeling Tom Green on this. He does seem to be happy to be on the show and engages a little, but I don't feel like he threw himself fully into the format. I don't think he engaged with Mary's and Erin's characters as much as he could have. Granted he may not have been in the right headspace given his recent very sad circumstance (which understandably brought the episode to a halt).

I always think I'm going to like the Jay Mohr-type episodes where a comedian who has come down in popularity comes on the show but they never really engage with CBB as much as they should. I guess I keep thinking of the HH Sinbad episode, which was really excellent. However, HH may be more conducive to these guests and it was clear Sinbad did his homework on the show (as he references their Cards Against Humanity feud). However, that kind of guest can go really wrong (Pauly Shore).

I really enjoyed the debut ep of Womp It Up.

I know some people have gotten tired of Wompsters Inc. and Listler, but I always find St. Clair and Parham hilarious.
