East Coast Throwdown 4 | Fighting game tournament | June 9-10

"Pleb" is a nice way to describe anyone who spams the chat like that just because their game is off for a little while.
SFxT is deep. It's too bad people aren't giving it a chance because of Capcom's blunders with block gems working online and stuff.
I just can't support that game. Capcom says it is balanced around the gems, but they are constantly releasing packs at least monthly. Does that mean that the balance is constantly changing? What about all those assist gems?

SFxT seems like a Street Fighter game with a payed item scheme using a Smash setup except the gems may be even more OP than items and there is a constant flow of new ones being released. The one thing I know for sure... if this kind of scheme were used in a non-Capcom fighter it probably wouldn't fly at all.

MK9 and SFxT are just awful spectator games right now. BREAKER and jabjabjabjab just aren't interesting.
Injustice's inclusion of a combo breaker system has written off that game for me as well. Didn't care that much to begin with though, but I won't be checking news again for it.

You arent hype about cut scenes in the middle of matches where players secretly bet to see if they can break a combo or not?

It's interesting, better than MK's system, but I dislike combo breaker systems in general.

And cutscenes in the middle of gameplay... uh no thanks. Hopefully they're just something like Level 3s.

The "MK Fans" should do what us "Capcom Fans" do: 1) Have a weekly meeting to discuss how your company is your favorite company and they are the best; 2) Make fun of everyone who thinks otherwise and update list of people who dislike Capcom; 3) Agree to bitch constantly when your favorite game is off stream. That's why us "Capcom Fans," that singular entity, are so effective. We're organized and have a message we stick to.

hence why splitting up streams is a good idea. You're not suggesting taming stream monsters so that they're respectful when other games are on, are you?
I'm suggesting that TO's and streamers do them at first just to see what works. The viewers are important, but most of them don't know jack shit outside of "Kappa", "DansGame" and the occasional gossip. The constant ridicule and bile posted about Skullgirls was terrible at first, but repeated showings on WNF before it came out actually gave stream monsters a taste of something new and the chat is actually okay when Skullgirls is on WNF weekly now.

They shouldn't be ignored, but they shouldn't be taken too seriously. All of this stuff is provided to us for free after all.

I think we can narrow the problem "Capcom Fans" down to "Marvel Fans".

I don't see AE fans spamming other games streams rarely, if ever.

Marvel stream monsters are as loud and annoying as the players themselves.

I'm talking about Stream Monstering 2.0: Operation Condense. We are taking stream monstering past its anonymous blathering roots into a whole new meta-game. Through recruitment, solidarity, and coordinated crowd-sourced spam bombs, we are competing for FGC mindshare surrounding our favorite games. By choosing Capcom, we have taken the safe bet and have a head start on all other sub-communities, should they choose to form up and launch a counter-strike. We await your challenge, Capcom Haters.

About to be on stream for marvel! Wish me luck! Also won my first match so. I'm hyped. Look for drubski.
Oh jeez, does this mean your facing a big name?

Good luck bro.

I think this an incorrect deduction. Maybe Marvel stream monsters.

But then again I haven't read a stream chat in months. Not worth the effort or time, especially even to argue about.

stinky pot monsters on blast. i gotta admit when i went to wnf that one time i met several dudes who didn't know what deodorant was.

I dunno, combo breakers are fine so long as you can bait them out like in GG where you have bursts and a generally limited to one of them per round. Especially in a game where half the cast has viable TODs.

Let's see what Drubski can do!

Are you on drugs?

I think Zero's Raikousen move is also negative on block but it depends upon where he did it and how he up was in relation to his opponent.

And people hate on Noel Brown but he KNOWS his Marvel knowledge.
