Easy Allies @ E3 2017 Streaming Thread & Schedule

Should have switched out chairs if people weren't into the Devolver skits. Bosman was on the side the entire night as... what? Punishment for grease?

It may not have been Hubers cup of tea, but when your content includes dressing up in Halloween costumes to do bets, silly wrestling bits, and mock trials, you just can't complain.

I wonder as well if the fact seemingly the entire rest of the Patreon funded games covering groups were in on it with clips but Easy Allies weren't additionally set them on edge. I know whenever I see some FunHaus shit my teeth grind a whole bunch.

Definitely feeling the lack of Jones and Bosman in these things. I know Jones needs to go and Brand Manager, but him not being there for any of this coverage feels a bit too much.

It's not like Bosman was into it either. And knowing him he was probably the one asking to be on the other table, so putting it on the other Allies is probably misguided.

Also doing silly things doesn't mean you have to like other silly things. I really don't understand the frustration here.

I think it's quite obvious why the Allies didn't react in the way that you seem to have wanted and how that most likely won't apply to the PC Gaming Show. They covered the show last year and the year before that, it was fine.

Why do people seems so agitated that they reacted negatively to something like this? It just didn't appeal to them. Next people are going to be pulling their Patreon money.

Well I haven't watched those in a long time. But I do remember a lot of negativity and comments like "do we need to watch this?" That's not fine, but I might be misremembering.

They were wrapping up the previous show and prepping for the next show while it was on and commenting here and there, but they weren't negative on it other than just the weird, slightly silly talk show presentation. It was in the Monday marathon block last couple of years, so it'll probably be fine now it has a dedicated slot and not crammed in there somewhere.

Need some more of them EZA good vibes to cheer up some of these GAF threads. Perusing around the gaming side seems especially vicious this year. I mean, lord I'm seeing outright personal attacks on people.

To the future, I'm looking forward to the PC gaming show. The last two years were great and Day9 has done good.

The Devolver stuff was...they made an effort at least. Writing off people who didn't like it because it is "weird" seems wrong. I love Eric Andre, Tim & Eric, basically all the Adult Swim shit this was compared to. This was a poorly executed imitation of that and the Allies responded accordingly.

People who think anti-humor is some brand new, edgy thing make the mistake of thinking it is immune from criticism or even from being labeled as bad. They'll get over it.

I'm surprised that they were more tough on Bethesda than EA. I thought that Bethesda had the more interesting show despite some missteps.

Eh, I see it more as people being overly defensive, they were basically being slightly too grumpy about a fairly harmless joke, regardless of if you think that joke was actually funny or not. (especiallly considering how much they alwayas stress being positive.)

About the PC show: It's obviously going to be a pretty low-key show again, and PC stuff is not really their wheelhouse.
Their coverage of the PC gamer show the first year was pretty bad, but last year they were a lot better about it, so it'll probably be fine anyway.

The actual conference threads here are usually pretty garbage overall. Just too many voices shouting in a short amount of time to be much else really. The news threads are usually great tho.

Kyle and Ian discussing Post-Irony in their analysis of the Devolver conference was also very interesting too. Jones, Ian, and Kyle all have art backgrounds so of everyone online I think they're the ones who "get it" the most.

If they hit 12,000 with Microsoft I wouldn't be surprised if they hit 17,000 tonight, who knows maybe 20,000 could happen. Sony conferences are their bread & butter.

The PC show is the only show I'll be able to watch live this year so I hope to see anything from what Neurath and Spector have been working on...

Nah, starting at half past. I doubt they'll have much to add if it's what people are expecting with OMGZ i9 and confusing motherboard chipsets!

Yeah maybe not. I'm glad to see some collaboration with Intel though. This is going to sound hopelessly romantic but the PC Gaming show for the past two years has felt like the nice harboring ground of good feels where PC enthusiasts just show up and do their own thing :p

I want a big Intel/AMD hugbox happy PC gaming family of rich people with the best rigs!

Oh well, here goes day 3.

Hope for some goodness today. I expect good from Sony and i actually have high expectations for Ubisoft. I want both to deliver, cause thus far only MS was worth watching.

The pre-show beginning soon is up

Only problem is that it's not at a Europe-friendly hour, and that's a sizable part of their audience I imagine.

Can someone explain the Chim joke that chat can't stop repeating ?

The bethesda pre-show went off the rails and CHIM is the god that dreams the Bethesda Videogame Universe of Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Starfield and once he wakes up, the universe will end.
