OMG... I loved this ep of Bosman At Home!!!

DAT bonus bit.. now that's what I was yearning for.

I still want him to talk with more confidence :(

How can he talk with confidence when he's being death glared at?

Cup of Jones was helpful this week. Ive been wondering about the money and time side of Easy Allies and it quelled a lot of questions.

I think that I still want to see more produced content, though. Like, not necessarily recreations of GT shows but some new ones with new ideas. I understand streams are easier, but the produced content is what makes EZA great.

For E3 I want to see them on that couch, wearing smoking jackets and rocking fake pipes that they can gesture with while doing live commentary for all the press conferences.

Fake mustaches and monocle are a plus.

The garage setting would lend itself perfectly for that gag, with that mellow yellow lighting and that big armchair.

Cups of Jones mentioned the upcoming Q&A stream. For those of us not backing at that level, will they upload it later, or is that the only chance to see it?

Cup of Jones.
My question got read!!! I won't tell you which one is mine, since Brandon read my real name, but hearing him say, "blank blank asks" while I'm trying to work, it made me do a spit take. Especially impressive considering there was no coffee in my mouth.

Frame Trap.
Love it. I can't really say much more than that, but it was a great episode and can't wait for more.

I really, REALLY want the crew to play Here Comes the Pain tonight... so go vote for it. NOW!!!!

I just want to jump in on the Frame Trap praise, it's the perfect partner for the "main" podcast (save for the questionable audio quality of this first episode).

As much as cast rotation is inevitable, Ben, Brad, Kyle and Huber have great chemistry (which is what makes TTE so great too, with a little added Ian spice).

Just finished listening to the first episode of Frame Drop and I loved it. Less than a month ago I had a GT Time hole in my work week and now I have two new pods to add to my rotation that I'm most looking forward to. Great job by the crew.

And turn it into a show afterwards called Brandon's Storytime where Brandon sits all cozy in that big armchair wearing a smoking jacket, taking moments from previous EZA streams to tell elaborate stories in his professional gentelmanly voice.
or read absurd forum posts from heated console war topics

I had to stop Frame Trap at the one hour mark. I couldn't take it anymore...

...because I had to get here and say to Ben (who I know reads the thread), that this is the best thing coming off EZA so far. You nailed it completely: the topics you chose are very interesting, you divided the talking time equally, you all were very into it and had great chemistry.

Awesome.

PS - I had no problem with the audio frankly, maybe because I'm watching it HD. Only thing you could improve on is the title card thingy on Youtube, as someone else said the font and words placement aren't the best. Can't think of anything else you should correct at the moment. *high five*

EDIT: a question, is everyone at EZA potentially going to be in the seat rotation (Don? Brandon?).

Frame Trap audio on YT stereo for you guys? I was listening at work with one earbud off and Ben's audio was gone and I heard him echo. His audio was actually in my left ear. I think he needs to make it mono.

I listened to the whole thing with headphones, and the stereo was reversed. Kyle's voice came from the right side, while Ben was on the left.

So, overall, I enjoyed Frame Trap. It was great to have a more loose podcast/stream/whatever we're calling this.

However, I can't say I agree one hundred percent with everything Ben and crew said. The main thing that felt...a bit disconcerting was the blow off of people who don't play the Souls/From Software games because they don't like the difficulty. Why the need to invalidate that opinion some people share? Not everyone finds the nature of those games inherently fun. I certainly don't. I tried the original Demon's Souls back in 2010 and it just wasn't for me. The philosophy of those titles is simply not why I play video games in the first place. Now, am I saying that those type of games shouldn't exist? No, not at all. If you want your games to be that level of challenging, that's perfectly acceptable. However, please realise that not everyone is going to like the same thing or play video games for the same reason. Escapism, challenge, immersion, fantasy, mood lifters - all of these are valid reasons for playing video games in the first place. To completely write off a subset of people because they do not align with your own views/reasons for playing games was rather disheartening to hear.

This was just something I felt I needed to give my two cents on; I still enjoyed the overall product and will continue to check in.

I think Ben just used Dark Souls as a springboard and that whole tangent was more of a general sentiment. I've had a similar experience with people who are put off by chill/slow music and think all music is supposed to make you happy.

Just watched the second podcast and absolutely loved it. After Kyle's comment on Mario Maker I'd love to see him stream it on a regular basis. I think that would be a great weekly stream just like Tetris.

I thought they said fear and stress are ALSO great emotions to "explore" in games... rather than just, fun, easy, i'm a badass all the time... Unless there was a discussion i completely zoned out on

Frame Trap was great, my 2 only criticisms, already voiced, would be the audio being not great (but this wasn't a big deal) and the chairs looking sort of awkward, compared to the couch.
Brandon, give Ben some money for a second couch!

Yeah, the audio isn't THAT bad considering the setup and I do think stereo over mono is great even for a podcast, especially if you're gonna watch it on youtube. But it's reversed and it really stands out to me. I'm pretty sure it's due to the microphone's position, but at least just switching the channels in post next time shouldn't be too complicated.

So much content. So much love for EZA. <3

I completely share Bloodworth's opinion on HLD. Especially the absence of easy ways to find again the locked doors: the game's a damn maze.

Frame Trap needs its own thread, Beastcast and Bombcast both get one.

Feel free to. There wasn't much interest by the second main podcast one.

EDIT: Might be more interst in podcast threads each week once we get shunted to community and get new peeps interested then.

Frame Trap was fantastic. It was everything I hoped it'd be with a good amount of discussion for games new and old.

Bi-weekly episodes are gonna feel so far away!

There was no "blow off" at all. I'm gonna need a time stamp, because I don't think we heard the same discussion. I'm always amazed at how things get overblown or the point gets completely missed in forums by some people.

Just caught up with the podcasts and, yeah, these guys are just nice dudes, I'm so happy they got together again. I will join the patreon soon for sure.

I honestly don't remember blowing people who don't like the difficulty off at all.

EDIT: I get what you're referring to now. I was trying to say that I think it's okay if games make you angry/depressed/insecure. These are emotions worth exploring. I totally understand if people just want to play for fun, but I don't personally agree with that being the only objective games should have.

I'm honestly having trouble remembering if the difficulty was even brought up. It does t feel like it was discussed much at all.

It was more a talk about Dark Souls being dismissed by some because they don't want to get angry while playing, and Ben saying it's so much more than that, IIRC. Or something similar.
