Hi Allies!
I'm here to announce a new Patreon goal for a series I'd like to make! I think I introduce it best in that video up there, but if you're short on time I can explain it in words too. I want to make a short series in the same vein of animated shows created to sell competitive games, about this world where everyone loves a game called Box Peek. Box Peek is played by two competitors climbing into boxes, and is won if one person peeks at the other's box for four seconds, or if one person catches the other peeking. It's the kind of stupid dramatized and absurd thing I actually get into, so I thought it would be fun to see if I could pull it off. Since I'm not good at animation, Box Peek will feature paper puppets I draw and film, and the voice work will be recorded by none other than the highly-talented Easy Allies.
The goal's funding itself is unusual--since I'll be doing one season in bulk, it will not be a rolling monthly goal, but will just be achieved once and then disappear. I'll be putting up to $2,000 of the $44,000 goal directly into producing the show, and everything else will be divided normally like any other other month. The current plan is to produce 10 episodes, each around 10 minutes each, and to premiere them consecutively 1.5-to-2 months after reaching the goal, though I can't promise that any part of that won't change. If you have any questions about any of this, I'll be active in the comments below. I'm excited to make a weird thing.
Love & Respect,
Kyle
