Ian is Ian and Ian is wonderful
That's why he is the best.
Couldn't agree more.
Holy moly 10/10
He should dress up as him for Halloween
Really tho. Storytime with Daimini is such a weird stretch goal. I like the guy a lot, but it would be a show with minimal production value/editing, and honestly I rather hear the stories come up organically during podcasts/live streams. 40k goal should either be Trailer Jones, or a produced show by another ally, one that requires a little more work. I think a lot of people feel the same way which is why it hasnt hit 40k yet, its just not exciting.
Need a new show, maybe top 10s, something that requires some editing to make it feel worth that extra cash.
Yeah the allies are my favorite "personality" group by far but I do feel like in the coming year they need to step up their production / editing side. I hate to bring them up again, but current Kinda Funny just looks so much better than anything that EZA is putting out. I enjoy EZA's content itself more but side by side their video's just don't stack up quality wise at all.
The reason I bring up Kinda Funny as a comparison is that EZA and KF are the two most successful gaming networks funded by Patreon. I get that EZA has a pretty big staff they need to split that money between so I'm sure that's affecting things, but I would love to see them make some big strides in production over the next 12 months.
Let me also say, by show
Cup of Jones (Minimal to Medium Editing)
Podcast (Minimal Editing)
Frame Trap (Minimal Editing)
Huber Syndome (Minimal to Medium Editing)
Easy Update (All over the place levels of editing)
Brandon Sun Kyle Moon (Minimal to Medium Editing)
Retrospective (Extreme Editing)
Reviews (Extensive Editing)
Tabletop Escapades (Minimal Editing)
Fiasconauts (Minimal Editing)
There are a lot of show that have minimal editing, low production value. Which is fine, most don't need it but Id be remiss if I didnt mention how nice it is to watch Geek and Sundry do D&D or tabletop games and have all the nice graphics on the screen, versus Easy Allies have nothing, and in Fiasconauts where it might be really nice to have the relationships, character names, and wants/needs on screen, they dont.
Especially with reviews (15,000) and retros (30,000) that both require a lot of time and editing, its so strange to have Storytime at 40k, which requires minimal editing. Maybe they wish in retrospect (unintentional) they had made retrospectives higher, but whats done is done.
Not trying to high jack the thread but it can be really weird posting criticism in the main OT for Easy allies, sometimes its a true echo chamber.

You missed out Game Sleuth which I'd consider to be in the extensive/extreme bracket.

EZA could use better cameras and better production, but IMHO, the personalities and the great interactions that all of the members of EZA have beats the almost "studio-like" quality production values (comparatively) that KF seems to have. Personalities and genuineness over cold hearted efficiency and sheer volume of content and high production value.
I love the easter egg in this shot. You can see through his glasses Ian waving at him and Ultima being just too cool for that.
When does their Switch pre show start?

I do agree that they probably need to look at their stretch goals and mix things up a bit as the story time doesn't seem to have had the desired effect. I'm guessing some stuff will be in the works for the anniversary.
Yeah it's more about gaining new fans at this point. It's got nothing really to do with the stretch goals. I think it's just found it's current limit.

Lol. Battleborn sucks too, and Randy Pitchford is an even bigger baby. The Allies have no problem bagging on garbage when they see it.
Jaffe deserves to be called on his shit.
Also, Ian is sooooo cute. Is he gay or just doesn't give a shit about wearing pink? Both are cool, but I hope it's the former so I can keep a dream alive in my head.

The patron numbers have steadily increased month over month since the start. They keep that going and the goals will hit themselves even as the $ per patron goes down.Yeah it's more about gaining new fans at this point.
