Just got back from The Gorge. Paradiso was fucking incredible. First night was kind of a feeling out period, and it was brutally hot, but Tiesto and Porter Robinson killed it. Markus Schulz was good too.

Second day was bonkers, like twice as many people as on Friday. It was overcast (but still 94 degrees) and there were some occasional sprinkles of rain, which was very nice. As far as the music went, it was basically just fire as soon as we got in all the way until the night ended. Madeon and Kaskade were probably the best, with Eric Prydz also getting a nod.

I met Madeon in the pit after his set, he was just walking around in a t-shirt and shorts and dancing. He sat down next to me on the railing around the edges and we chatted for a little bit. So cool!

I did not, unfortunately. The main stage was very house- and electro-heavy, but we didn't want to leave because it was so crowded that it would've been a pain to try and get up close again. I did notice that someone on one of the other stages was playing a mix of the Skyrim theme and got a gigantic nerd boner.

Holy shit. Audien and Cyril Hahn are must-sees for me, and Dzeko & Torres and Kyau & Albert will probably also warrant stopping by.

Anyone check out the Happiness compilation vol. 1? Found by chance, Xristo has a track on the compilation, and it's really pretty good, it's also free. Listening now, really digging it so far! The Xristo track is pretty phenomenal.

I saw Sasha yesterday and he blew my mind. I had never seen him live but he was just incredible; definitely one of the best sets I've seen live. Also saw Maya Jane Coles and Guy Gerber who were great as well.

I'm seeing Vicetone tonight at a club, and then Gareth Emery/Michael Woods/Ben Gold tomorrow at an all-day beach party. I am going to be so dead come Sunday, but it'll be so worth it haha.

Edit: Oops, forgot to post what I came here to post. Anjunadeep just released a teaser for their new compilation releasing July 22. Sounds really good, definitely worth looking into if you like yourself some deep house.

One of my friends who happens to own an entertainment company down here told me today that they're bringing down one of my favourite international DJ's at the end of the year. The possibilities are: Hardwell, Netsky, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix or Avicii. I can almost guarantee that it isn't Avicii or Nicky Romero and my money is on Netsky. Either way, very excited. Means I'll see Juicy M and one of my favourite DJ's before the year ends. Sweet.

Got a two-hour drive ahead of me today, I know what I'm listening to! Twitter loved the Lana Del Rey remix.

Anyone think it possible for current artists to capture the Classic Trance vibe at the same time as making it modern? I've been listening to some classics and they just have a good feeling about them, like they're new. It's hard to put my finger on it, it's not nostalgia, but there is an uplifting quality to them. Here are some of the tracks I been rocking out to recently.

Lost Witness - Happiness Happening (Lange remix)
2HD - Sunflakes (Vincent De Moor remix)
Carl Cox - Phuture 2000 (Deepsky remix)
Sundance - Living The Dream

Most of Digweed's mix comps are slow builds, but this is 2 hours of peak time Techno/House bombs. Really good.
