In case anyone wouldn't mind having some more of Elden Ring spoiled before Friday - here is a brand new trailer. I haven't seen it but apparently, it's damn good.

That was so hype and looks incredible. Exploring this will be bliss and possibly the best realized RPG world we've ever seen. Combining this plus what I've seen in streams, that map is oozing with details and it goes fucking crazy with verticality.

I don't mean this as trolling or whatever, I'm genuinely curious, what am I missing with the hype around this game?

I've watched a couple of hours of footage from the game via videos and preview streams and the game looks a tad bit boring to me, with the outdated visuals really detracting from what is otherwise lovely art direction.

I enjoyed Demon's Souls remake quite a bit, but I haven't played any of the Dark Souls games. Is there something I'm missing about Elden Ring which should make me more hyped? Genuinely curious as I wouldn't mind grabbing it and playing if I thought I was going to enjoy it, but right now it's looking very mundane to me…

People like different things, I personally find Horizon 2 super dull but other people seems enjoy it, it just how taste works.

That's all totally fine but I genuinely want to know if I'm missing something obvious which might be behind my feeling of "meh" towards what I've seen so far?

I'm not saying that people aren't allowed to like to different things, I'm asking if I'm assessing this wrong or not looking at the right things in the pre-release footage.

Do you think everyone likes the same things? Of course not, so don't worry about whether you like it or not. It's OK to say "it's not for me".

I agree, not my type of game. Same goes for games like WOW, just don't understand it. But judging by the hype around this game I guess I'm in the minority. The anticipation around this game is huge.

No I don't, but with the sheer amount of widespread hype around the game, I'm surprised and find it weird that I'm not interested at all from the footage.

I could try the game of course, but I don't want to pay the full price of entry and then not like it.

Exactly this, just because everyone is hype about it doesn't mean you automatically need to be in to it.

Majority of us who are anticipation this game LOVED FROM's pervious games so of course we are going to be excited for their next game and so all footage we seeing so far it looks AMAZING!!
I get what you mean, maybe because I have little to no investment in Dark Souls or Sekiro, I don't have the same attachment to Elden Ring.

I remember mowing the lawn listening to the Microsoft E3 Press conference when they first announced the game.

Imagine saying this in a time where we've just had Sifu, Forbidden West and KOF XV drop.

The only one that has really really tempted me from the games listed is KOFXV, it looks like quite the step up from 14, but not as nice looking as the beautiful KOF 13.

And that's fine, the big mistake you could do is buy a game just because other people hyping it, most of the time it leads to disappointment.

Yeah. Not clicking that. I've seen all of one trailer and that's it. Not going to spoil it now. I'm going in as blind as my first demons souls playthrough.

If you're not a fan of Souls games, it's probably not going to be very hype for you. I'm not the biggest fan of souls games but I do really enjoy them for the most part. The world, the lore, the gameplay, the non-spoonfed shit that most games provide nowadays. Few games can match it imo

I'm ready for it :)
