The concept is interesting but this looks like a PS4 game.
Isn't this for PS5? Sorry then...that's because it is? Are you deliberately obtuse or what?

It's a cross gen game = PS4 game with slight enhancements for PS5Isn't this for PS5? Sorry then![]()

If she says land between one more fucking time
Between next gen and last gen like the graphics :3Lands between WHAT, goddamnit!
People like different things, I personally find Horizon 2 super dull but other people seems enjoy it, it just how taste works.I don't mean this as trolling or whatever, I'm genuinely curious, what am I missing with the hype around this game?
I've watched a couple of hours of footage from the game via videos and preview streams and the game looks a tad bit boring to me, with the outdated visuals really detracting from what is otherwise lovely art direction.
I enjoyed Demon's Souls remake quite a bit, but I haven't played any of the Dark Souls games. Is there something I'm missing about Elden Ring which should make me more hyped? Genuinely curious as I wouldn't mind grabbing it and playing if I thought I was going to enjoy it, but right now it's looking very mundane to me…
That's all totally fine but I genuinely want to know if I'm missing something obvious which might be behind my feeling of "meh" towards what I've seen so far?People like different things, I personally find Horizon 2 super dull but other people seems enjoy it, it just how taste works.
Do you think everyone likes the same things? Of course not, so don't worry about whether you like it or not. It's OK to say "it's not for me".That's all totally fine but I genuinely want to know if I'm missing something obvious which might be behind my feeling of "meh" towards what I've seen so far?
I'm not saying that people aren't allowed to like to different things, I'm asking if I'm assessing this wrong or not looking at the right things in the pre-release footage.
I agree, not my type of game. Same goes for games like WOW, just don't understand it. But judging by the hype around this game I guess I'm in the minority. The anticipation around this game is huge.I don't mean this as trolling or whatever, I'm genuinely curious, what am I missing with the hype around this game?

No I don't, but with the sheer amount of widespread hype around the game, I'm surprised and find it weird that I'm not interested at all from the footage.Do you think everyone likes the same things? Of course not, so don't worry about whether you like it or not. It's OK to say "it's not for me".
Exactly this, just because everyone is hype about it doesn't mean you automatically need to be in to it.Do you think everyone likes the same things? Of course not, so don't worry about whether you like it or not. It's OK to say "it's not for me".
This looks incredible, I can't wait!
This week is probably going to be the slowest week ever now![]()
Majority of us who are anticipation this game LOVED FROM's pervious games so of course we are going to be excited for their next game and all footage we seeing so far looks AMAZING!!The anticipation around this game is huge.
I get what you mean, maybe because I have little to no investment in Dark Souls or Sekiro, I don't have the same attachment to Elden Ring.Majority of us who are anticipation this game LOVED FROM's pervious games so of course we are going to be excited for their next game and so all footage we seeing so far it looks AMAZING!!
I remember mowing the lawn listening to the Microsoft E3 Press conference when they first announced the game.Majority of us who are anticipation this game LOVED FROM's pervious games so of course we are going to be excited for their next game and all footage we seeing so far looks AMAZING!!
The only one that has really really tempted me from the games listed is KOFXV, it looks like quite the step up from 14, but not as nice looking as the beautiful KOF 13.Imagine saying this in a time where we've just had Sifu, Forbidden West and KOF XV drop.

And that's fine, the big mistake you could do is buy a game just because other people hyping it, most of the time it leads to disappointment.I get what you mean, maybe because I have little to no investment in Dark Souls or Sekiro, I don't have the same attachment to Elden Ring.
Yeah, you're right, I have to resist the blind FOMO!And that's fine, the big mistake you could do is buy a game just because other people hyping it, most of the time it leads to disappointment.
It's Dark Souls but with an open world. That's all totally fine but I genuinely want to know if I'm missing something obvious which might be behind my feeling of "meh" towards what I've seen so far?

That's because it was made for the PS4 as well... Derp. The concept is interesting but this looks like a PS4 game.
If you're not a fan of Souls games, it's probably not going to be very hype for you. I'm not the biggest fan of souls games but I do really enjoy them for the most part. The world, the lore, the gameplay, the non-spoonfed shit that most games provide nowadays. Few games can match it imoThat's all totally fine but I genuinely want to know if I'm missing something obvious which might be behind my feeling of "meh" towards what I've seen so far?

I mean it is a PS4 game so I'm not sure what to tell you there. If you're concerned about graphics then I'd say you probably aren't the target audience. The concept is interesting but this looks like a PS4 game.
