That is indeed it. It's a DVD they gave out for free at the EB/GameStop Conference last week.

Uh...

The first two pics are of the same person. Why the hell do they look so different?

I can't wait to see how some of the other races look, especially the Redguards. I've been looking at some of the interviews but I haven't heard much about how character generation will be. Do you still select your character face from a list or can you customize one from scratch?

I'm 99% sure it's the same dude. They have the same outfit, and the tower that the first dude is standing on is in the capital city, which is where you start the game. And it's not his son because that's the dude you're trying to find, so they wouldn't introduce him that early in the game..

Looks like it's the same guy, but the top picture is from a cutscene.

I always thought the scene the first pic came from was in game, since it didn't look particularly great and because I don't recall any previous elderscrolls games using cg. For someone so important you'd think they'd at least get the hair color right.

Unless they aren't the same person. STEVEMEISTER??? HELP US

Same person, top is prerendered, second one is in-game. Also about 5 months old.

I love you, and I love whoever is tasked with making the in game guy look like the pre-rendered guy.

If the top is pre-rendered, why does it look like shit compared to the in-game? And not just the guy, the background is TERRIBLE in the first one.

gotta say that woudl have to be a pretty big coincidence if someone capped the exact same frame 5 months ago as me since i capped that guy msyelf - also this vid was from E3 form what i understand and that was only 4 months ago so im not sure what the deal is.

Stevemeister works for bethesda, so he probably knows what he's talking about

Terrance Stamp, Sean Bean and Patrick Stewart are voice actors in Oblivion. :D

THE BRITISH ARE COMINGÂ…

BETHESDA GAME STUDIOS TAPS TOP INTERNATIONAL HOLLYWOOD TALENT TO VOICE THE UPCOMING
THE ELDER SCROLLS® IV: OBLIVION™ VIDEO GAME

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to Feature Voice Performances by Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, and Terence Stamp

September 30, 2005 (Rockville, MD) - To create the perfect tone and timbre for its upcoming epic role playing game, The Elder Scrolls® IV: Oblivion™, Bethesda Game Studios announced today an all-star voice cast of British stage and screen legends. Developed for both the Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC platforms, Oblivion is one of the year's most highly-anticipated games and sequel to the best-selling role playing game of 2002, Morrowind®.

Leading the lineup is Patrick Stewart, playing the role of the Emperor. Stewart is best known among genre fans as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation and as Professor Charles Xavier from the X-Men feature films.

Providing the voice for the Emperor's lost son and heir to the throne is Sean Bean. Bean skyrocketed to the public's attention as Lord Boromir in the Academy Award-winning Lord of the Rings trilogy. While Oblivion will be his first video game role, Bean is well known for starring in a variety of films, including memorable roles in National Treasure, Goldeneye, and Patriot Games.

"Oblivion is something unique, an epic entertainment experience unlike anything I had seen before," said Bean. "I decided this was a project I really wanted to work on creatively and I hope fans of the game enjoy the results."

Terence Stamp will lend his talents to the game's heavy plot, a sinister force bent on the destruction of Tamriel, the game's geographical setting. Stamp starred in Star Wars: Phantom Menace as Supreme Chancellor Valorum and as General Zod in the legendary Superman films. Oblivion is Stamp's first foray into voice work for a video game.

"Having never done voice work for a video game before, I really had no notion of what to expect," said Stamp. "Bethesda did a great job in providing the tone and theme for the character and it was fun to give life to the villain in the story, who is a very thoughtful man from a different line of kings who seeks to realize his own vision for the empire."

Bethesda had previously announced that Lynda Carter would also be lending her voice talents to the game. Best known for her starring role as the crime-fighting superhero, "Wonder Woman," in the hit television series, Carter has appeared in more than 50 television shows and films, including this summer's hits, Sky High and Dukes of Hazzard.

"We wanted to work with voice talent that really captured the emotion and drama of the game's story," said Todd Howard, executive producer for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. "Quite honestly, we wrote the parts with these individual actors in mind. It's an honor to have them lend their talents to the project."

As the next chapter in the highly acclaimed and best-selling Elder Scrolls series, Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. Gamers are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to the player to find the lost heir and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has not yet been rated by

Great video, but not that much new material. Also, the narrator says "PC X360 this christmas" in the end...

edit: I think the tracker is down so the torrent won't work unless your client supports decentralized tracking

Nice. This is probably my most wanted 360 game right now...it's the game I would buy a 360 for...assuming it turns out as good as I hope. :)

I'd love to put this online (reencoded to xvid), but since the bethesda people are removing every link to the torrent from the official Oblivion forum I'm not sure it would be a good idea. Especially 3 days before X05...

No problems :) I'd rather wait to X05, maybe then we will get some gameplay footages?

I sure hope so.
So far I know I'll be able to film PGR3 and Kameo for sure, everything else I'll discover when arriving there. I know some games will be restricted.

I just can't wait until we actually get some concrete release dates. I'm grabbing a 360 at midnight for sure, but I don't even know what games I'll be able to get. :lol

Guys bad news ive been asked not to put the vid online by someone from bethesda (at least they say they are) so just gonna have to make do with the screens. Sorry, not gonna turn down a hard workign game company. Im sure it will be out in a few days anyway.

Tell them "As proof that you work at Bethesda, you need a reviewable copy before everybody else"
