I went to Boston University I am working here now. I am a big fan of NY YANKS people know me. I am living in Boston
I lived through 2004, the pain of it all. My sophmore year. I had a final the next day at 10 AM.
I stayed out till 5 in the morning...hiding out from all the obnoxious fans.
Aaron Boone was the last time i felt this way.
I can't believe it. I had a bunch of southies in my apartment tonight -- the pained look on their face knowing that Eli Manning has been absolutely clutch...is incredible.
I can't believe it.
This makes up for all the pain....the Yanks...the pain of watching 2 world series wins while being 2 blocks away from Kenmore square and 1/2 a mile away from fenway square.
The pain of watching southies rub it against my face. The pain of watching pats fans thinkin they were granted all this and it is their every right to win.
I can't fucking believe it.

Yeah well I know what is meant when you say you can't enjoy football next year. It's like who cares if they win a superbowl? It's been done 3 times already. Nobodys ever gone 19-0, nobody. They won't do that again, it just doesn't happen. I'm still the most upset about seau though, poor fuckin guy.` W/e at least it own't be as stressful certainly won't be a big deal if they win the superbowl next year though.

Although I'm thrilled the Patriots lost, I can't help but think of the incredibly blatant pushoff to the face that Toomer to a Giants DB that setup their field goal. The game should've been tied 14-14 after Plaxico's TD. I should be watching an epic overtime as we speak. That was just a terrible call... and there's really no excuse for it because it was as isolated as a play could be, one on one coverage down the field, the ball was in the air forever, everyone's eyes were on those two, yet the refs absolutely blew the call. Admittedly, I haven't read the thread but Patriots fans should be up in arms about that call. Then on the flipside... you've gotta wonder why Belichick didn't go for the 50 yard fg that one drive... he deserves blame for that. But still, awful call.

Damn, it's hard to believe David Tyree managed to make almost every game saving catch for the Giants in this year's Super Bowl. Especially considering he was known for having hands of stone when he played at Syracuse.

on NFL.com the story reads "the New England Patriots (18-1)...". I almost cracked up when reading that.
but to be honest here, I am happier about the Giants winning it than the patriots losing.. only by a little, but still.. gotta root for the NFC (unless it's NFC North and not packers or the Cowboys). To see the Giants pull that kind of an upset was awesome, and those final catches were just amazing. I don't want to compare Eli to Favre like a lot of other folks do, but there is definitely something to that good ol' southern boy style QBing.
